She’s obviously been well taken care of then, because she sure doesn’t look 11 lol Wonder why cats usually live longer than dogs? Maybe they’re more carefree? lol Or… maybe they just don’t care as much! More ‘laid back’ lol
Both our previous cats lived to 20…one almost didn’t… FIV positive, and at18, her body started acting like her teeth were foreign objects (according to the vet) and they started popping out one by one…and she stopped eating. So, I ran chicken, canned cat food, liquid vitamins and kitten formula through the blender every day…she fattened up and was healthy and happy for 2 more years! Indoor kitties tend to be more “pampered” and are subjected to fewer hazards, diseases or parasites- so usually live longer than outdoor kitties…but our neighbor has a 22 year old indoor/outdoor Persian…so I think it depends on a lot of factors…just like people!
lol That was more rhetorical than anything dear lady, but also I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head!
That’s awesome @Lady.Zandra63 ! Good for Goober! Good for you too! I know how hard it is. Leo would come to me and wanted nothing but my lap. Ditched the damn bum leg and he’s the world’s happiest cat. Bet Goober goes happy mode too. I love it!
That’s so great that she can start getting up to her old tricks! Lucky kitty!
I notice that about ‘Tuxedo’ cats-- they always seem to hang with the dogs, and take on their attitude… our Ozzy is like that too!
It’s been relatively cold these past few days and nights here in the SF Bay Area. Genki sat down on my lap and said hey, dude, I’m cold. Cover me up with that tiny blanket that’s on your lap. No matter that you won’t be fully covered any more. Then he got too hot. I’m like, yes boss, yes sir, right away!
Couldn’t quite get a proper up-nose shot here.
Then he got too hot.
Then he spilled a glass of water because he was upset about something. He and I had a little “discussion,” again, about not tipping over glasses full of water. He’s currently hiding under the bed.
Leo and Maui enjoying a dry day and some sun. Me too. No rain for a few, just wind blowing down trees with waterlogged roots.
