My wifeās family always opened one present on Christmas eve, she carried on this tradition after we got married. Her mum when she was alive would send her a box of little prezzys every year, which she would open on Christmas eve.
One year I carefully unwrapped the box and replaced everything with a brick and a balloon. I wrote on the balloon, naughty girls who open presents on Christmas eve donāt get any, Luv Santa lol.
The look on her face when she pulled out the balloon was classic WTF is this, she then wanted to open the contents that were in the box, but I said, no your only allowed to open one thing and you have opened it already lmao.
My wife started the Christmas pajamas tradition in our house. On Christmas eve the kids get to open one present. It always pajamas and now they are in their 20s they love the tradition still. Then my wife and I open our gifts Christmas eve so the day can be all for the kids.
Iām wearing my pjās right now.
Outta likes.
Thatās so funny. I donāt think Iāve owned a pair of pajamas since I was maybe 13 years old.
merry christmas. and happy new year.
@Gadarien and @blowdout2269 . what a great tradition! Family Traditions are top notch in my book.
We are in Ft. Lauderdale currently, tried taking the boys to Key West yesterday but traffic was backed up all the way to the beginning of the US-1 Bridge, it was a mess, we ended up just turning around lol
Holidays are basically impossible to get down there to do anything. Everyone and their brother are down there right now.
It used to be so bad that the keys would run out of water unless you used it at off hrs(11pm-6am)
Yep lesson learned for sure lol the beaches in Ft Lauderdale are really nice tho, so its all good, probably wonāt return on a holiday haha, not to mention I ended up getting into a side by side collision in Miami. Some dickhead in an AMG Benz SUV decided to fly up the lane I was merging into, cop blamed me and wrote me an improper labe change ticket, and now I gotta come up with my $1000 insurance deductible to get my car fixed, perfect timing after breaking myself trying to give my kids an over the top holiday. Just my luck I guess, probably gotta sell some of my rarer packs to help cover a chunk of it. Grrrrr
oh man shit. im sorry to hear that. i hope you can possibly find a body shop to work with you and help you out with that. during the holidays i try not to go anywhere, everything is so crowded. the beaches are much much nicer in ft. lauderdale than in the keys. there basically isnt a beach in the keys until your way way down there(mm40 bahia honda). stay dry if your still down here, should be past by noon today.
Nope I cut the trip short, couldnāt spend anymore money with the accident and ticket I gotta take care of. Gonna make it up to the fam sometime in 2024, once I financially recover from this Iām gonna start saving for a trip to Hawaii as none of the family has been there before. We ended up stopping at Harry Harris Beach in Tavernier, fucking nasty and smelly. Left within 10 minutes lol, no where near the beach we went to in Marathon 5 yrs ago. I really wanted to make it to Key West tho. Another time lol
havent heard of harrys beach. im familiar with harry harris park in tavernier. i asked my wife to marry me there, but we never go to the beach area just the bbq and dog park/ball park area.
i bet you will have a great trip over to hawaii, people here are just NASTY!! safe travels home!
Iām not familiar with that beach personally, but one time, if you have a chance to come more towards the panhandle, our beaches are beautiful some of the nicest Iāve seen in person and the sand is white as can beā¦
Iām sorry to hear about the car accident, Iām in a money pit myself right now, so I definitely understand possibly needing to thin out the collection.
Thankfully OG spreads so many good things around, Iām not really too worried about a lot of packs that I paid for having to be sold or at a few at least thinned outā¦
This is my local smaller beach not the huge touristy one most people go to here.
Where is it? What are the GPS coordinates? How do I and the masses get there?
Thatās the one, we werenāt the only ones to leave right after arriving either lol, the playground area was nice but the water damn near smelled like sewage
For some reason I havenāt visited the panhandle, the last Gulf beach I went to was Anna Maria Island like 7yrs ago. Found a nice sand dollar there but I ended up accidentally breaking it lol
Hahahah low tide will do that. I canāt say Iāve ever been in that little pool/swimming area. We have a condo across us1 from there(bayside)so I know exactly what your talking about!
I was wondering if it could have been the tide. I remember minus tides over on the west coast that would gag a hog!
That sucks man. I just experienced driving in Florida as an adult over thanks giving. The ratio of psychotic to normal drivers is way off the rails. I also noticed a lot of people like to park diagonally taking up multiple spots. Is this a particularly Florida trend?
Not south florida, the car would be keyed with slashed tires.
