I Made this hybrid of Mimosa Champagne which i loved for its unique Orange rind liqueur smells and up daytime smoke.
and used a few males from the Royal with Cherries from Emerald Mountain Legacy and Meangene collab. that i loved for its Cherry lime frosty gassiness. and damn near bulletproof outside trait of the Royal Kush.
I Crossed the two outdoor in 2021 and ran a few inside to get a peek beginning of 2022 and heres what that looked like
started with quite a few but the male count was pretty high so out of all these only end up keeping 5 so they would fit comfortably
The end flower came out pretty good. Cherry lime notes but with a burnt orange peel smells and color hue variation throughout the phenos. this was just a small run of the population and shelfed it after this run to work on later. but after going through pics and seeing it again i kinda want to pull out seeds for the offseason

@blendmedmedman flavor was like slight cherry, with tangy sour ness but if worked more it could be selected and taken to either end or find the flavor you favor i do have alot of these seeds and should probably work it some more on flavor.

There are several ongoing cherry projects on this forums, the consistent theme is that the cherry flavor is a hard pheno to nail down. Jaws has a cherry ak pheno he distributes that’s supposedly fairly strong cherry notes, but based on all the breeding notes throughout the forum in guessing something about that flavor is recessive / hard to lock down.
Great work btw, would love to see this project worked a bit more. The buds look fantastic.

@sardinebags Thanks , when i done the initial cross i did use 4 males of the RWC and had 2 different phenos of the Mimosa Champagne one was solid nugs and the other was more open and elongated i haven’t ran any on the elongated parent seeds yet. using multiple males there should be a good variation in there to look through and isolate and find the flavor
the only bad thing is i could see is that i lost everything cuts wise from the initial cross when i got covid /the flu that year and i was sick as a dog. and it kinda made me regret being a recluse breeder because i could have got some of my cuts back if i would have shared lol but trust and capability is hard to come by these days. but luckily i made seeds in large quantities of it.
heres a cross that i call the (Cherry O XXL)
which is
Cherry O (Mimosa Champagne X RWC)
X
Royal Afghan ( Balkhi X RWC)
i didn’t get to ipm as much as i was working at my day job alot but it still got to harvest quite a bit. the smell was super skunky with that burnt orange smell and was less cherry but more gas this was from the 2023 season and finished around the first week of september
