I’ll be popping these in a few weeks.
Great choices! I will enjoy seeing what gems you find.
I can’t wait to get these going. They both sound fire.
These seeds are too mature to be viable to me LOL…

hahahahahahahaha got em
nice! I like seed porn!
Yep! LOL. In the drink.
I love a little seed porn every now and then. I’m not ashamed to admit it.
Out of curiosity, is this your traditional seed starting method? I’ve used RapidRooters, and I’ve used myco innoculants… I don’t know how I feel about either, but I’ve also never tried them together
Yes, I usually start seeds this way, but I have not always germinated seeds this way. It’s quick and effective. I like rapid rooters and using beneficials, however, neither is necessary for the successful germination of cannabis seeds. I use this method mainly because I am a busy body hands on grower and this method gives me a process to work through which keeps my mind occupied and not “waiting” on the plant to do it’s thing. My process is simple. I soak the seeds, usually over night until they sink, then I place in moist paper towels until the root begins to grow, next I put the seeds in rapid rooters and place under the lights. I usually have seedlings in 3-4 days. It costs a little extra to germinate seeds this way but it works for me and I’ve found it to be slightly quicker with better germination rates when compared to placing the seeds directly into soil or soilless medium. Out of curiosity, why do you not know how you feel about the use of these products?
I started using RapidRooters for my seedlings, but encountered a strain this summer for which I had a 100% germination rate but never managed to grow a seedling into a healthy adult. The root systems were extremely underdeveloped, and most of the root “branches” that started never found their way out of the RapidRooter.
As for myco innoculants, I don’t have any specific tales of victory or defeat I sprinkle a bit of innoculant in the soil when I transplant, but can’t tell you one way or the other if it makes any difference.
Anyway, thanks for the detailed explanation! Might have to give your germination method a shot next time I start some beans
Hmm, that’s interesting. I haven’t encountered that problem…yet. Have you used Rapid Rooters on any other seeds/strains? It just seems odd to me that the rapid rooters stunted/killed the roots. I’ve used RR’s for years for seedlings and cuttings, and have not had problems like you are referring to. As far as beneficials go…I have really never tested with beneficials or without beneficials side by side so there is no way for me to know if they are actually helping, however, the roots are usually very thick, white and extremely healthy looking. I have a feeling they are doing their thing but again I have not tested this theory.
Great work, this is a very organized and data driven diary.
