Chez Calix - Journey of a Junior grower

Thanks!!!
I was worried after going at the root system that I messed up! Lol

August 29

I just set the timers to flip at 730PM OFF , AND ON AT 730AM.

I do agree it’s going to be cramped…it already is…

My fiancé ain’t gonna like It but I may bring one plant inside and leave 3 SJ in garage.

She wants me to do one or the other, Inside or out side. Lol

Make sense…right…

For my lighting, I have two good lights. One that could flower one light amazingly …and the one that’s hopefully going To do three, I have a supplementary led that can Daisy for the three sourjacks.

.I just don’t want to take apart another tent and run all the equipment in one room and I feel bettter splitting it up as the garage is on its own panel.

I should just put the other tent in the garage.

I’ve got a good week to decide before major stretching starts …

NEgative test results!

Checked 730am online this morning…then had to go load up a job. . Stil feel like garbage…nausea and head ache …feels like I’m on a boat…comes in waves … must Just be a regular flu or cold…

Half minded to get a second test… bahhhh this sucks

Thanks my friend.
Still got a head ache and groggy today…5 days now . And I’ve been taking it easy… .

So - since I transplanted my seedlings , I noticed some white mould on the SOIL.

I ready it can be from improperly drained soil / mixing new soils .

They aren’t drying out very quickly , and the seedlings already seemed a bit stunted.

I’m running a dehumidifier full time in basement now, I never had the problem before though until i transplanted with my own soil…

I did add a lot of perlite , I don’t know If that’s effecting drainages.

Anyway, I notice some yesterday. I googled a remedy for it. And I’ve been spraying with a 1/10 h2o2 onn the soil.

I really think I just should scrap these. It’s almost 4 weeks from seed and they are about 6”.

Should I continue with the soil spray for a day or two or just bin them! Or maybe re transplant with new mix’s of soil , a bit less perlite ?

Not all mold is bad man. I wouldnt just bin everything.
Depending on whats in the soil, it may just be something breaking down, especially if it was just recently mixed.

Sounds like it’s a good type of mold. Just spray it if you hate it or mix it in the soil. It’s all good. Mold is usually only bad if it’s on the plants.

I wouldn’t toss anything In the trash.
You may want a little more air flow/movement in your tent though.

Perlite is going to give you better drainage and ultimately help your soil dry faster. I wouldn’t draw a parallel from added perlite to pots not drying quickly. Are these the 7 gallons, or smaller?

Humidity is killing me also. Flipping to flower tomorrow and already sweating PM and botrytis. What kind of dehumidifier did you grab?

I know it can be difficult, but try and be patient. Plants don’t always exhibit changes in a few days. Cannabis plants can bounce back from some really bad shit too. Don’t write anything off yet. Keep on keeping on.

These are in 1.67 gal plastic pots
Just seedlings I popped end of july.

I think they must have suffered some shock during ttranspant…Ive got a small fan at bottom and a exhaust fan straight piping out of the tent

Hey! Thanks for taking the time to read and reply TT!

This is the one I scooped up on Amazon’. Maybe $200to the door? Works great. I’d buy another for next year.

I’ve been carrying it back up,n down from basement to main floor when it’s muggy.

Gotta love amazon. Right To my door step in a week

How often do you have to dump the water? Really wish I could avoid spending the $$$, but it’s likely going to become a necessity.

Ive seen people with auto watering setups just feed the dehumidifier water right back to the plants.

One full dump a day and then it will fill up half again?

Thats in the basement onn 30%

On my main floor maybe once a day at 40-45%

It’s not running 24/7 every day.

Okay B&Gs. Moment we been waiting for !!! Day 2 flowering!
Birthday cake far left. Very sexy green colour Almost flurescant!. Taking me by suprise!!! She is drying really.well. the soil is very rich and dry…ThE stand alone photo is her

Then we have 3 sourjacks . Looking. Very healthy. Far right is a bit lighter of a green. They are all drying VERY slow. I wouldnt even call it drying…they are soaked since nutrient feed on Friday…

.

EDIT
I am considering lowering the light. After the stretch?
Also if I keep them all in there with some serious space control - I will add another nice light. If I seperate one. I will add a blurple anyway .

See how they do with light at this distance seems to be pretty good penetration. It will be interesting to see how this light does. It looks like it’s high quality stuff . But I have a feeling it might just not have the power to produce some whoppers. It could just be a fancy Veg light…which would.suck but.you get what you pay for in the end .

So does everyone in regular soil , water until run off??

My friend who walked me throughout y,y firsr grow l had me watering From clones to flowered, and have drain out fair amount…can’t remember how much he said at the time .

I guess it depends on your soil how much water comes out…

I’ve recently read of a few people watering and never having run off. This would be nice for no pans.

I’m wondering, maybe this is why My plants take forever to dry out.

I’ve been giving pretty much equal litres of water to gallon so of soil when completly dry…

No. In my 112 liter bin I water 6 liters of water every 3 or 4 days.
