Chosing seeds

How do you guys go about choosing seeds ? I’ve never heard of a lot of these breeders, so I usually just stick to a few that I know. Want to venture out but damn. I don’t even know 90% of these genetics.

Hey man if you have the space try running some new genetics that’s what I always do. Just make sure to check out reviews and can’t go wrong. Worst case scenario you get some free herb out of the deal

Find what looks good, sounds good, has the properties you want for you.

I like knowing lineage and knowing something thats being sold has been/ is currently being grown so there are at least pictures of what they look like.

Beware of all the breeders with strains that are 25 different things youve never heard of bred to 1 thing you have heard of.

What have you been running in the past?

You prefer fems, regs, photo, auto, indoor, outdoor?

You have a dank selection of seeds already!

When i find a new breeder, to size them up i usually i start by looking at their catalog. How many fathers do they use? Did they breed their own fathers? (Hopefully yes) Do they talk about how big their selections are? Do they work past f1 stage? (less weight on this in my book, but definitely factors in, especially if they never work past f1)

After i answer those questions i start searching for other peoples grows. If i cant find particular strains, i just look for any plants from that breeder to see what kind of results people get. Main thing im looking for is consistency and stability. Ideally no herms (or at least not a common thing in reports) or weird unexpected mutations.

Next, after determining if theyre legit and something im interested in, ill browse the catalog and generally look for “strain i like x father” or if they have a flagship strain, ill usually check that out

@Scoobb If you want to try a different breeder, I recommend Bodhi. You can’t go wrong with him, and his seeds are reasonably priced.

Just look at the popularity of his creations; many seed breeders today build their businesses based on Bodhi’s work. Check out Bodhi’s information thread:

If you would like to try something completely new I have two crosses I will be shucking for seeds by the end of this week. Its a cross of CSI Humboldt Hawaiian Lites F2 and I hit one of the plants with Bodhis Triple Sunshine F2 pollen. Calling that one Solar Halo.

The other plant I used BOG LSD pollen and naming it Pahoa Bicycle Ride.

I can send a letter out when they are ready if you wish?

How much do you charge on seeds as only ever purchased from barneys farm but had to pay £18 (23 dollars for one bean) at the time I didn’t think was bad but been told it’s still not a good price even included with shipping
