Clip on fan(s)?

Anybody else been waiting like a year for the grow buds oscillating clip fans to ship?

In my 2x2 = 1x 6" clip on + 4" active vent + 4" active intake

In my 2x4 = 2x 6’ clip on + 1x 6" active vented + 6" active intake (smaller volume duct type)

In my 4x4 = 2x 6" clip on + 1x 8" cyclone fan + 6" active vent + 6" active intake (inline) + ossolating tower fan.

I like my fake wind

do you have an inline fan running? or are the intake and exhaust both passive?

in my climate, it is absolutely vital to have fresh air exchanged constantly to prevent mold. no matter how much air circulation you have within the tent, it won’t make a difference unless you are constantly evacuating the warm damp air from your tent.

In my experience you need at least an inline fan for your exhaust, and a passive intake.
this along with one or two circulating fans inside the tent pointed at the walls or corners of your tent will create plenty of air movement to prevent mold and dewy leaves.

Yeah I have a six inch exhaust fan. It’s 440 cfm if I remember correctly…

Right now humidity is pretty low due to moving into winter… about 36% rh lights on, 40-45% rh lights off without the dehu running.

Tried placing the second fan on the floor and it still was too strong. Might try swapping the positions of the two fans so the less powerful one is hitting the wall and the strong one hitting right below the light.

I’ve done pretty good with 1 oscillating tower fan in the corner. The clip ones always fall.

I have honestly never had one fall off a tent pole yet…
But I have had many fans that didn’t last long at all…

In my 3x3 I’ve got a 24" box fan straped to the ceiling of my tent on the lowest setting and 4" Ac Infinity Inline fan for passive intake & active exhaust… Works great. Also frees up room inside the tent.

I’m with Eugene, I haven’t seen a clip-on that wasn’t a POS.
Bad engineering in every case… However…

I like AC Infinity, so ‘I’ll cut them some slack’ until I seen them proven (because their other products have demonstrated to be well engineered).

That must be a really new product, I’m not seeing it on their web site.

I have my fans hanging with ratcheting light hangers, so I can easily adjust the height.

Been extremally happy with my AC infinity duct fan so I am super stoked to see them releasing an oscillating fan for air movement. All the other brands currently on the market are dog shit. Anyone know when those AC infinity fans drop?

I haven’t had much good luck with clip on fans either.
Most fail within months.
Some last longer then others surprisingly though. Kinda 50/50 for me.
I want to try an oscillating tower fan of some sort some time…

I feel like I’m being teased on IG with the posts about the clip on fan. I just want them to take my money already :joy::joy:

I think the leaves turning up might actually be due to dry air (rh). Turned off that fan days ago and they’re still taco’d. RH stays about 30-40% naturally due to winter. Not sure if adding humidifier would even do anything at this point. They seem to be doing ok.

I just added a cloudline t6 as a secondary exhaust for my 4x4 tent INTO the basement.

This now means the main exhaust goes right out side and this additional unit allows for a controlled bleed of tent heat to supplement the baseboard heaters when the tent has lights on. It’s slaved to temp so when it gets to 20c it’ll turn off. :hugs:
