Clones from Clonify

Yea you can send in a leaf part and they should be able to tell everything. There should be a few companies out there. Just do some research before you give it to anyone.

Try to stay away from phylos

Do they tell you if you have a specific individual or just give an idea on the background lineage? Sounds like a nice way to make a few bucks… Sequence all the elite cuts and have people pay for them to be verified legit or not.

I’m not sure what all they can tell you. But it would be a money maker during the green rush.

Well, if I’m going to start selling them, I should prob invest in a few like those, but I won’t be charging those prices that’s for sure. That Sensi Star, would make sense if he’s one that paid 10k plus for a pack of the old school original packs. Only reason to put money like that down for a pack of seeds, sell the clones!

Man 10k for a pk. That would suck to pay that and not find the pheno everyone is looking for!!!

Or for them to not sprout, if I’m remembering right, those are 20-30yr old seeds!

Or you come home no power running dwc and everything is dead!!!

Back up your mothers by spreading cuts to others! I’m doing that for a couple people, and I’m sending all my stuff to two others as well :upside_down_face:. Cuttings take barely any time to grow, even as a bonsai, my oldest mother can easily produce 8-12 cuttings every other week, i usually have to prune and toss what would be perfectly good cuts since I don’t have room to grow them, and my buddy is running out of space so wants to wait for cuts of others strains to be available. I would never have though I would have this issue

Of course all that is put on hold for right now, in all my collecting, some mites slipped through my examinations and the no pest strip fumigation, so everything got cut back, and getting a bath every three days for a couple weeks.

Even though DWC produces some beastly plants I would never do it without a backup generator. The power goes out in my neighborhood at least once a month. It’s like having plants on life support then pulling the plug!

Great advice with the spreading cuts to others. !!!

I’m doing tissue culture work right now. I plan to back cultivars up in vitro in case of a mite or virus outbreak. Also a nice trick to circumvent plant counts

I looked into that a little, man it could take a whole course to get around to doing that lol. But it’s also not like storing a seed in stasis, they still slowly grow and need to be maintained. But it’s very cool and I may start something of the sort down the line.

Do you use a sterile room??

Really just need a sterile box or chamber to do the work in. Just like growing mushrooms at home. It’s all the homormone/ratios for the different gels and promoting different stages of growth from a tiny sample to a cutting big enough to root in the traditional way, or root right in the gel if your going into hydro.

Built a sterile air box. I’m going to convert it into a filtered positive pressure system though. Basically a poor boy’s laminar flow hood. It will be hopefully resolve the leak issue I’m having with the lid gasket.

Thats pretty awesome. You should start a thread on this, very interesting!!!

They offer full on college courses for it! The main thing is to first deal with contaminants. Some people can pull it off with an aquarium flipped on its side, but I’m currently growing carnivorous plants in vitro… Much more sensitive than cannabis. I’ve actually had some success with callus induction, but just a few tiny mold spores always sneak in and take off once the plants do as well and eventually overtake them. I let the mold take over in a few just to watch for fun lol. Going to get this leaky gasket resolved. My plan is to use a gask mask filter and positive pressure fan with a slit in the bottom. It will be a sterile air box/laminar flow hood hybrid.
