Clones, Seedlings, and delicious tomatoes 😋

The garden has finally grown. I’ve reached the legal limit as well as space limits of my porch if I want to still use it lol.

The Oregon Huckleberry(OH) seedlings have both sprouted about a week off from each other. The first to sprout might have been attacked by bugs or something as it’s looking like it got fimmed. Those are supposed to be the single finger leaves, but instead it’s the FIM top that splits off into 4 or more tops. I guess I should feel lucky that the seedling survived it.

The second OH seedling just shed it’s seed yesterday, so it went in the soil after that. It’s much darker than the first OH seedling.

The Mazar Kush XXL auto has been slow growing, but it is a heat wave and all the other plants including the catnip in the same pot wilted every day. Daily watering has become 100% needed or I lose a plant. I lost a few plants this year to not watering before I left for work. Yet the Mazar kush was fine. Never wilted once.

Speaking of lost plants while I don’t expect it to flower in time I’ll try to care for the seedlings in the soil. It seems the farmers market we got it from had sewn multiple seeds initially. This was only 1 until the soil got so dry that the gel around the other seeds dried. Otherwise I got some offshoot shit I’m unaware of in tomatoes.

My cherokee purple tomato plant has become an absolute monster and apparently my pictures do not do it justice. My mother finally came to see it in person when she dropped off the clones and I got a: OMG Holy Shit :flushed: response. Speaking of if anyone is disappointed with the flavor of tomatoes get one of these if you can. They’re sweet, salty, umami, and sour if you pick them young. I have one I’m letting fully ripen to a deep purple before I pick it. It’s hard to see it in the corner, but the big boy plus tomato plant is also doing really well. It was the reason there’s no trellis anymore and we now tie things to the ceiling of the porch. Funny enough with the trellis cords lol.

And now finally the Wicked Gas clones my mother gave me. They already stink to high heaven. Calyxes are just starting to be thrown out all over.

Nice garden. I have heard good things about the Cherokee purples, but never had one. I need to order some for next year so I can see what they are like.

What a cool mom, dropping off clones and all!

I would highly recommend it. I love tomatoes in general, but organic vine ripened ones always taste best. I’m still wondering how they were salty though

Ain’t that the truth!

At work atm, so no pics available, but does anyone know what makes a cannabis seedling close its starter leaves? The 2nd OH hasn’t grown and just closed its leaves.

In other news I had a beneficial visit from a Tiger Bee Fly. Pollinator and predator for carpenter bee larvae.

I have discovered the answer. It’s dying. It’s not fully shriveled, but the whole stem is brown and wrinkled now. It was heavy leaning towards the soil. Ah well. Wasn’t meant to be.

Not going to “like” the death of a plant. Especially something that is supposed to have huckleberry hints, I LOVE huckleberries. Apparently they grow here in Oklahoma as well (been here a decade and had no idea) I thought they were a mountain berry. If you’re ever interested in a swap I’ve got a few strains to trade and would love some huckleberry herb. The rest are looking good gromie!

Sadly though it looks like both OH died. This heatwave is annoying :unamused:

SUCK! Sorry to hear about that. Our present heat wave just broke yesterday. I haven’t ever had much luck outside so I’m grateful for my tents and spare room.

The seedlings may have died, but the Wicked Gas clones are starting to throw out multiple calyxes per spot. It seems like they’ve transitioned to preflower already. The Mazar Kush XXL seedling is the least phased plant in the whole garden. When everything else wilts it starts praying and looking happy instead.

The Cherokee Purple is just throwing out so many tomatoes. I swear picking them makes the plant grow more.

The lemon balm is still deciding if it’s in flower or veg. It seems to go back to beg when watered daily. If i let the soil dry before a drench it makes flowers heavily until watering becomes more regular.

The Cucumber Lemon plant is just growing out of control. We had planned to just let it grow up along the pulley system we have going, but now it’s starting to create a canopy as it grows horizontal along other areas.

Thought I’d throw a couple pics of the girls.

New day, new update. The auto is growing up at a decent pace. The clones are in pots without drainage holes I realized last night, so I’m going to figure that out before they stop praying.

The cherry tomato is only in a 3 gallon and has become easily taller than I am. I need 2 pics to show it all.

The Cucumber Lemon is just huge. I transplanted it into a 10 gallon fabric pot. The stems snapped at the base, but they don’t seem phased.

My lemon balm and chocolate mint are doing pretty well. The chocolate mint revegged after nearly dying from the heat waves. The lemon balm just went to flower and also revegged. No hairy leaves yet. It’s not fully adjusted to its environment until I see hairy lemon balm leaves.

They’re all looking good. Though the clones have a slight deficiency it looks like. Lower leaves are fading and dying. The auto has powdery mildew, so I’m going to get some peroxide and a spray bottle to try and get rid of it from the garden.

The Cucumber Lemon has almost a fully ripened fruit.

Well the auto has changed since my last update. It’s starting to cluster bud sites together  :raised_hands:

The clones still have a deficiency. Ah well. Not much I can do until I know what kind.

The Cucumber Lemon plant was the culprit in what gave the garden powdery mildew. The first pics of each are after spraying with peroxide and soap to eliminate the PM. The second set are just now.
