Great run and nice job persevering through the PM! Did you end up using the athena hypochlorous acid?
I was following along until april just before the pollination started and just realized i never tracked the thread! Glad I was able to get in on the sign up.
Thanks for your work, great strain to preserve in seed form!

In life, and especially within the world of Cannabis, we stand upon the shoulders of giants. This run would not have been possible without Jon Colombini’s preservation work with the Banana OG. I’m not sure why I was so moved to obtain these seeds from his wife, but I’m very thankful that I did. The Banana parents used were nourished by his heart and hand, and therefore a bit of his energy was ingrained in their seed. And now, with my heart and hand, that energy propels forward, from my home to yours. My dharma for the past 5 months has been to complete this open pollination for the community, and it truly has been such an honor to serve you all.

12 seeds have been added to a cup with 1/3 cup (~80 mL) of 6.5 pH RO water, mixed with 1 tbsp (~15mL) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. As you can see, I enjoy starting at the beginning, and then going right up until I come to the end. Then, I typically stop.

Hasta la proxima, ¡amigos!

My friend! Let me just start with saying that I’m probably losing the Bubba Diagonal. I’m being hit by thrips and I’m fairly certain some plants have contracted TMV, so it’s looking like bye-bye mother plants. Ordered a test kit and I’ll know for certain here soon. With that off my chest, throw them nugs bro. Thank you so much dude for stopping by in here and shooting the shit. I really appreciate it.

So great to see you signed up, I can’t wait to one day see them in your garden. I’ll be taking a bunch with me to Colombia when I go next. I know my friends and family are going to be fascinated by the scent.

Thank you, Doug. Doing this run has made me gain so much more appreciation for the others who’ve participated in the Co-Ops. Especially you man, you make it look easy.

Hell yeah, thank you.

Thank you, senhor. It was my pleasure.

My pleasure! I sadly won’t be able to sample any Banana for a while, as I will most likely be killing Bubby’s clone soon.

Oh dude, it was nothing. I love this place, and I think the Co-Ops are awesome for preserving genetic lines, but I also see them as a way for us to thank each other for being a part of this amazing community.

It was my pleasure. I’ve never had anything with Banana OG in it, surprisingly. I hadn’t even heard of the strain until OrgnKid’s interview with Archive. After that, it was like when you first buy a car and then you notice everyone else has the same one all of a sudden.

Two of the plants’ aromas changed as I harvested the seeds. One was all funk, and the other was a very beautiful floral scent. Very interesting indeed.

My pleasure! I can’t wait to try it out myself lol.

Muchas gracias, and of course, it was my pleasure.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about, this image perfectly fits! Thank you man.

Con mucho gusto! It was my pleasure.

I really didn’t do much man, thank you for being a part of this awesome community. It’s always such a pleasure to run into another gallery hero as well. Good stuff.

My pleasure, Pigeon! Thank you for everything you do as well.

Like this.

I know it looks like I keep copy and pasting “My pleasure,” but no, really. It was. This was a dream come true. I’m very honored to have been able to participate in the Co-Op system.

It was my pleasure! (that one was copy pasted)
There are still plenty of open spots luckily. It’s because things move slow round’ these parts.

It was my pleasure!

Thank you, Growgrass! I sure did use athena, right the fuck away because I just wasn’t having it. Worked like a charm. I only did one spray too, which was surprising.

Stop dude, I’ve got bad knees! But nah dude, I’m no giant. Just a fella, just a guy. Thanks for being as involved as you were, funky. We shall see each other in Fuel’s thread soon lol.

No idea how tall you are, but surely 150 people on your shoulders would be really bad for your knees

I’m thinking we say giants more because of the number of people that participated in the genepool, not because of their height. Now you’re one of them, at least from the signees point of view

See ya soon!

You’re too kind dude. It’d be great to put up another Nachos strain for a vote, Dave’s not here sounds like it’d be cool to do.

Thank you Misterbee :pray:t3:

Muchas thank you!

Thank you! I’ll be popping a lot more of these soon and searching through them in either 1 gals or 4 inch containers. I just popped a few to make sure everything was hunky-dory. I’d love to find a plant with the hardiness of the keeper plant, but with the scent of the most finicky. We’ll see if I can get there.

Thanks! It hope these produce something stellar for you. Definitely tag me when you pop them. Did you keep a clone of the plant you harvested by chance?

Ah, muchas thank you dude. With all these diseases going around, it really makes you think; whatever happened to “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”? So, a lot more educated and experienced people than myself are saying that the plants don’t have a virus, that it’s just thrip damage. These sick little test strips get here in the mail tomorrow, so I’ll know for sure. And even if none of the suspect plants test positive, I’m killing all my mothers. It just doesn’t feel right to keep em’.

I feel dirty.

Thanks for the support dood.

I don’t ever want to hear about how DirtySlowToes is not generous ever again. The man takes “sharing is caring” to heart, and I appreciate that.

All jokes aside, what’s up with thrips, man? First time I deal with an infestation like this and they’re fucking invincible. I’ve been spraying the plants with Athena’s IPM every 3 days (Shout out to Athena for the free shit again) for the past week and a half and I still notice at least 1 thrip every time I go in my tent. I thought one good dousing would get them all and so I started some Wedding Cake crosses the same day, and boy, was that foolish. They’re doing good, but I’m afraid to let them out of the 2x2 lol.

As it was put to me, thrips will hide in Satan’s ass crack to survive, lol.

I had (have) them… This product has helped a TON, but if you get them (or something like this), be sure to cut open empty the sachets, don’t just just water em :v: (so far, I’ve found a sachet per pot has been working well)
