Whole plant.

King of the hill for the moment.

Still drying, the sativa lean BFD is going to be a challenger for high yield this round.

Frosty and some stink. All not as frosty as they could have been. Still drying will know more later.

BFD 4 weigh-in.
The big tall lanky bish.

Some of the best frost and nose so far. Medium density bud, my bad.

@Orloff
Thanks. I was impressed with the plant and cola sizes, not so much with overall frost and density.

I blame it on my Canopy, Temps, Nutes. Too many changes and firsts.

Looking forward to all LED on future flowering.

You’ll really like all led no heat issues since I switched less energy usages

Here’s another 86 day BFD. This is the only plant that was topped once.

Bummer.
Lost top cola to bud rot.
I assume being above the frickin lights may have been a contributing factor. Its cold in outer space. Lol

Not ready for weigh in.

Just the top cola.

Note to self: Monster cola = increased Rot risk. Mkay

I tell it like it is. The good, bad, and ugly. :peace_symbol:

That really sucks. Sorry to hear mate. At least the rest of the haul is all good. Do you think they rotted while drying or when it was still alive?

Not sure. I need to get educated on this bud rot. To learn why…and how to prevent.

I’ve grown several runs with huge colas. But…This is the first time I left them in the dark for 48hrs before chop. Around 65f 50rh. Then hung to dry @ 65f 60rh.

I’ve heard rumor that pulling big fan leafs can possibly cause the start if rot.

I am not an expert on bud rot but have had it outside as we have very damp

falls here it is also cool/cold so Hard Budded Indicas do not fair well here

I had bud rot in a tent inside this fall I am not a tent grower same problem hard buds

and high humidity with lights out

so I will tell you from my experiences very time I have had bud root

it has been High Humidity at lights out not the best air movement

and cool temps

I wish I could tell you more but sadly I cannot but I do feel your pain :frowning:

but I do know a dehumidifier will help

all the best and enjoy the day

Chances are if you don’t have bud or stalk rot when chopped and hung . Hanging at 60 and 60 for 10 days whether the fan leaves stay on or off shouldn’t cause either to occur, at least in my experience of several crops done this way . Powdery mildew is another concern space them out don’t let one touch the next one hanging and all should be fine .
If concerned run a isolating fan for the first 24 hours .
One thing that can bite you in the ass is leaving dead leaves buried in a bud that’s a invite to bud rot inspect the buds prior to hanging and pull out dried dead leafs .

A long time ago i had a plant with big colas that got just the start of bud rot when i gave it the 48 hours of dark because i did not provide enough air circulation. With buds the size you had its really hard for sure.
