this one takes it for flavor, a little of the chem comes through but garlic is more distinct than the burgers. still prefer the hash burger han solo effect though. it is true all the good stuff comes from crossing it out then whats the point but its whats around so some of us have to smoke it for now. im not smoking low grade flower or extract just because its not cookies.

The real issue with cookies isn’t whether you smoke it or not. It’s about how they lied about their genetics, certain things don’t line up and that could be detrimental in the future when scientists go to the big guys in the game to see what’s in what.

The GSC strain and crosses are definitely fine. Making the rich richer is my only problem. They throw money around and make it impossible for the real growers to make a name for themselves. Most of us can do just as good or better and still charge a fraction of the price of a dispensary. All we can do is overgrow them all.

I also appreciate it being a fairly civil discussion (unless I missed) I get how genetics can get some folks wound up. This was really helpful for me to understand what tf was going on.

Never grew cookies, tried it once. love the look. love the colors. makes crystals pop, what I got was a little over-dry and had the commercial dense-ness of an almost m-39. buzz was fast and fleeting stayed up around the eyes, was going through the oz quickly by the end as it continued to dry, joints burnt fast.
regardless of that, if I am scouring the earth and I stumble upon a pretty plant that smells of cookies, I am running back to show the people, it is a good thing. if not just for cross attempts.
Anything over-advertised is annoying. also, nothing is perfect, does not look the greatest but is loyal and predictable can be part of a stable ecosystem or pretty but nuts.
buzzes that lay in my sinus area and eyes with head tension are not my favorite style I prefer low and settled-centered awareness with a radiant glow and crackles of excitement.
so I just watched DJ.short in a video shit on Bodhi. for being a pollen chucker of sorts he mentioned just taking other peoples work and slapping thing together ( paraphrasing here) and for doing more or less the same techniques as said to be done by the cookies guy, said to be done by those who commented on this page. I saw it a week ago on you tube.

For me, Cookies is like the Yankees. I don’t support them, I don’t like them as an organization, but I can’t help but recognize the excellent players they’ve had and that the farm system has created.
I get why growers and people in the culture are sick of cookies, why they don’t like Berner, why everyone is so sick of GSC. They don’t get my money directly, and I’m no fan. But, the blind hatred a lot of people have has become as irritating as the blind loyalty.
That’s the part I truly don’t get is why so many people are so emotionally invested in Berner and Cookies. You’d think the guy bred hermaphroditism into the entire cannabis gene pool with the way some people act

It would be as though the Yankees didn’t come into existence until 70 years into baseball, won a couple pennants, and everyone acted like they’re the best team to ever play.
It’s good smoke with great marketing that hit it big as soon as the recreational tide swept in. It’s as silly to hate it is its own popularity is. Every other strain that had its day was about 5 years tops, it feels like we are 10 years into the craze and now it’s just annoying.

Cookies is a pretty flower with a boring high and terps that degrade quick. Most of the plants just remind me of revamped modern purple weed with way less flavor and terp.
There are a few standouts but at this point so much of the market is made of up these genetics that it’s completely oversaturating & homogenizing the gene pool. I just hope when the dust settles on this hype that we don’t lose any great plants that came before this and got shelved in favor of cookies/gelato/sherb/cake/whatever.
The company itself are scumbags.

yeah I don’t get it either I’ve never tried any of it from the dispensaries or from other growers but I can say this I’m sitting here right now outback smoking a joint of wedding cake which tastes phenomenal and can probably be smelled three blocks over and let me tell you it does the trick for me and my tolerance is not exactly low
I tell you the same thing about GMO except for you could probably smell that in the next state The high from it is instant and heavy and I much like it also
people call Mac one caps cut cookies and it’s superb bud I’ve given the cut to two or three people and they will all agree with me
like I said I’m only smoking buds from the cuts I sourced that I grew myself I have no dealings with it from the legal market but I will say this every single bug and I mean every single one that I’ve gotten from dispensaries was in horrible shape. when put in a bag and checked for humidity levels it’s at 50% or below every single one of them was bone dry and I’d say at least half were rockhard and PGR treated. I could also tell about a quarter of the bud that I bought and I bought a lot of it had been rolled on a screen.
now that has nothing to do with the scumbags who run it yes I detest them and they’re not good for this plant. I do have some respect for one of their breeders however and the wedding cake cut I hold his his chosen cut and the boy can pick a cut
just about every one of the wedding cake grows I see our small golf ball NUG plants or plants that look like triangle Kush. if you go digging around there’s a video up where he walks by his cut of wedding cake that I’m running and it’s got top buds the size of a wrestler’s leg. buds you could not put both of your hands around.
i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again I dissing any weed unless I grow it or it comes from someone I trust and there’s not many of those
in fact I really have no one to trade bud with seeing as I’m not legal and no one on any of the weed boards I’m on lives anywhere near me other than one person who I don’t care to meet anymore. I wish it wasn’t against the rules to talk about you know what😎
