Copa Genetics

Welcome to the thread, @SamsonSimpson ! Nice looking plants you’ve got there, headed towards a good harvest by all indicators. Haven’t seen anyone growing the Purple Panther yet, I’m excited to see how she finishes!

I tested Lime Time for COPA and it was an interesting one, some really diesel/gas rag smells like a truck garage off the fresh harvested bud, she cured into something less gassy but deeper, I think my two phenos were ok but there’s better to be found in there, I was happy with them and would have tried more if I didn’t pass the rest of the testers on to other members here since I have too many things on my plate.

This is cool guys, I need to start a clipboard like this in my grow room to keep things straight:

Nice, I have a big dry erase calendar. I try to keep everything Saturday to Saturday, this way everything stays in order no matter where I mark things down. I may be keeping track of four or five strains at the same time. I can’t write small enough to use just the Saturday block but I know if it’s marked on Wednesday it really means Saturday if that makes sense.:joy:

I’ve got an enormous 3x6’ whiteboard down there but I just don’t use it, there’s something for me about the clipboard or binder that works better I think, though I’m going to try and use the whiteboard with some tape dividers and maybe wet-erase markers

for those that saw my copa post from last year outdoor season know i was much more active here.
my health , work, family drama and life struggles have been keeping me busier that a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. as they say “i am taking this time to make time” to do this way past due update before i do anything else.

see posts 1496, 1537 and 1548 where i left off.

100% germination rate. and 100% broke ground. three of the frostitut x appy wilted off. all five 100 amp x appy survived.

got the luck of the draw and had one male and female for the frostitute x appy. the 100 amp x appy had three males two girls. here is a shot of a leaf on the male 100amp appy i am using for pollenation.

collecting the pollen that will i will use later today.

the two plants on right are 100 amp appy one on the left is frostitute appy they are in 30 gal pots.

you can see them really stretching and stacking. like @CopaGenetics says the frostitute out shines the other girls, so sparkly looking and just getting going.

she is a good 2 1/2 weeks ahead of the 100 amp appy crosses. it looks like i have two phenos of this cross. this less leafy lighter color one is also ahead of the leafier darker pheno.
the leafier one is just getting going

mix my own organic soil do top dressings of kelp, malted barley powder, worm castings, and recharge. also started top dressing with both plant and tomato tone when i see them using up the nitrogen thanks for the tip @CapnCannabis .
when in flower i use Enhance Florals with BuildABloom Amino-Chelated Bloom Booster – BuildASoil and good doses of epsome salt. looking forward to harvest, yes sir!
all comments and questions welcome.

Hmm really looks like the frostitute does much better outdoors than indoors according to me and a friends indoor grows of it. Just smoked the last nug of the tall one yesterday after almost 4 months cure. Still have a lil left of the lil OG pheno.

she is a good 9-10 feet tall an i am digging how it looks. never have had something this frosty at flower onset before. the less leafy 100 amp appy has an amazing sweet something odor. hard to describe? sweet and kinda fruity sweet smelling. the type smell that just says OMG that is gonna be some serious dank stuff. smells so good on the nose it make you think i want to take a bite. lol.

i feed them my soil mix which i think has a lot to do with more gland production. the build a bloom really augments the frost factor plants seem to really enjoy it.

Keep your nose to it every week or so because the smells should change. Most appy crosses will have the smells changing atleast 2-3x during veg and flower but more so flower.

I’ve gotten armpit sweat and ripe fruit and strange spices and one time I had chem so much that I thought that someone had came into the place while I was working and cleaned the room with scrubbibng bubbles cleaning spray stuff (for bathrooms.) It was exactly like that product… and then it switched to ripe pineapples.

The best was a unique smell I cant compare but it was slightly intoxicating on its own.

What’s your timeline on these testers @Enjoi802 ? I’m down for this but I’m doing a preservation type project with some other folks here in the next run.

Welcome to the Greatest Show on the Internet @Armx28.
You’ve got a little ways to go to TL2 before you can sign up for Wiki’s. Interact, read, and engage members, in time, your vault will be overflowing with seeds. It took me a bit to get my 1st “win” but my vault is now stocked with some great strains from an awesome set of folks here on OG.
And as @Enjoi802 has mentioned, head over to the Introduce yourself thread, and let OG’ers know your now a member.
