I think I’m just going to order it. It Ohio first year legal and my dad going to try outdoor growing I’ll share some with him.we have had a cabin in meigs for almost 50 years he would be pretty happy to grow some. What makes a strain outdoors only anyways? @Dirt_Wizard
Good indication that you may run into some instability indoors (i.e. herms). Outdoors can be more forgiving in that regard.
Okay I gotcha that makes sense. Wonder if it worth the risk. It kinda hard for me to do a good outdoor I live downtown Columbus. Planning on doing 1 or 2 outside for fun but that about it besides my indoor setup
Some of my strains are outside only, because ceilings are only so high.
That was my first thought it just grows crazy high. But the indoor stress makes a lot of sense may just not be stable
Thanks for the heads up! But I’m kind of holding out for the straight up Meigs Gold, not too interested in any crosses really. Most excited about keeping these heirloom genetics in tact.
crazy deals on the bulk pack
couldn’t resist , this strain was my brothers favorite last year . did’t grow well for me in a plastic pot (too small ) but he planted his in the ground and it excelled and was tasty and a great energetic buzz with no heart racing.
I hear that MGC would have to be #1 the holy grail on my list. Not cause the effect or smell not even sure I’ve had the real thing but growing up my dad, aunts, uncle and there friends they all talked about the meigs gold it the first strain I ever heard of before I knew what a strain or pot even was lol. When I was about 15 my dad would get a bag down from meigs id pinch idk what it was but every bud look like a perfect 3 to 4 inch Christmas tree very piney skunky musk I would get absolutely obliterated lol the good old days
Hey greenbee, there was a message from @Great_lakes_Genetics on another thread where we were talking about Copa’s Meigs Gold cross. It’s only on the site in a farmer pack with one available. But GLG said that we could email them to see if there are regular packs (not sure if actually available).
Found the comment where they said that:
Figured I’d bring this to your attention in case you’re on the fence about ordering the farmer pack.
And if you want to split the farmer’s pack I would pitch in for a share
One of the two Carbon Stinkerz x Durban/Lambsbread testers, 8 weeks of 12/12 tomorrow.
And a P25 cut from the summer, 8 weeks as of last Friday.
The potential for herm etc kinda turned me off I’m sure there great plants just don’t fit my setup. Think I’m going to see what pops up this season. We’ve been going to meigs county a long time and know some locals going to see what they have.
That sounds good
I’m outta likes so here ya go!
Anyone know much about the High Voltage male used on a few of the new releases? DCSE has it listed as Compost Momma x GSD. I know a lot of random crosses like this were given away as 5 pack freebies—anyone know if these were ever a freebie pack? Or did anyone test anything with that as the dad?
Copa said it’s best male he’s seen in 40 years. I’m testing some beans this year where he used the high voltage male. Not sure if he’s used it before last season.
Nice, thanks, thats encouraging.
What’re you testing, if you don’t mind?
Later in the season, I’ll have photos of how they turn out grown outdoors. As per usual, I have an army of Kopa seed strains to go with and so far I have not been disappointed.
This is good to hear as I have some Mike Drop on the way.
@CocoaCoir Curious where you found that Zip Tape pack you posted a few weeks ago in this thread. I know they were freebie 5 packs, but the pic you ousted looked like a 10 pack, ‘extremely limited’
