Just spoke with an ER doc out of Boston because “reports”. This is a first hand source that was posed with the following question, “how are things looking from a capacity standpoint…”:
(4/9) Boston, “We are able to keep up. We have more ventilators coming in, the staff have mostly moved into ICU type work, several units opening up by using the ORs (operating rooms) and Pacu’s (post-anesthesia care unit) for more ICU beds, each hospital and clinic have arranged burden with the bigger ones taking only Covid while the smaller ones doing the step down, tele, and so on. I don’t have the complete count of vents (ventilators) as of yet”.
Followed on with:
“We are nearing capacity fast. One problem is how many staff will be available. Space and materials are available but with insufficient staff if we begin to see 10’s or 100’s more. We received an inquiry today on how many medical gas and vacuum hookups that we have in our X-ray rooms. That indicates that we are nearing some trouble.”
As mentioned earlier in the thread, Boston is somewhat fortunate since they have a relatively high bed per cap count but they are already rearranging things. Peak resource usage is estimated in 11 days from now.
I was reviewing your material and started to think about your posts and figured you were getting a little tense - like the rest of us. Then the Firesign projector ‘thingee’ popped up and it was like the flash of creation!
What we all need is to do is collectively get stoned and listen to some great 1971 underground humour.
Here we are surrounded by the flood of info on this terrible event and there’s no winning, no way of knowing what really is going on, on what’s behind all this. .
Seeing is the only way of believing.

That and common sense and sound reasoning.
Just for interest, it seems like South Africa’s early lockdown plus aggressive testeting and tracking has had a positive effect. We are currently experience a lull in infections that has some doctors surprised. They’re all saying hopefully its not the calm before the storm though.
Sadly now a bunch of middle and upper class twats are all “but what about the economy and the poor…” when they only care about their own investments and money. Sickening.
I believe Corona is real but I also believe there is a strong chance it is intentional, if it isn’t intentional the powers that be will use it to push all kinds of agendas anyways. Remember when Obamas chief of staff said you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.
