Do you have a fan circulating the air in the room.
PM is caused by big fluctuation in the humidity. The fluctuation in humidity is caused by large drops in temperature between lights on and off. You need to keep your temp swing between lights on and off, below 10 degrees F, to help keep PM at bay.
I am looking at it on my PC now I can blow up the pics to to 32 inches on my monitor/tv, it does look like PM, but double check.
I have a ceiling fan and an oscillating fan. There was a humidity change and temp change when changing rooms. I temporarily moved them when drying another plant for about a week. The room they were in was lower temp and humidity.
Yea, @Shadey. Thanks for posting that article, it was helpful and based on what it says, I created the conditions. They were in a closet for a week+ with low airflow and then moved them back into the room and kept it warm and humid because I was starting a bunch of amnesia seeds. It’s still cold in upstate NY, so they haven’t gotten fresh air. I’ve only just started opening windows in the house on nicer days, but not in that room. Looks like I have a busy afternoon and weekend ahead of me. I think I’ll pull my flowering plant out of that room(I need to cut and dry this weekend), and then pull each one out one by one and start cleaning them off. Once I get the room cleared out I’ll get some fresh air in.
I have the same weather as you being in Nova Scotia, my plants are getting the occasional PM problems, one of the hazards of a maritime climate. Only managing to get my windows opened a couple of days ago for a little while, now we have about 10 days of drizzling rain coming so the humidity is going to spike here dramatically. I just have to be vigilant, and spray regularly with some neem oil.
@Shadey coincindentally I was dropping harvest from my auto blue dream off to a friend after work. He happens to be part owner in a family farm that includes a farm stand and nursery. So i stopped by and mentioned my problem and scored this for free!
Perfect, use it just before lights out, neem oil can cause the leaves to burn under light, before it gets absorbed. You want to cover the whole plant under the leaves as well as on top
@Shadey I’m assuming i should still wipe the plants down with wet paper towels still? Or will this take care of it in its own? Thanks for all of the help btw
No, wipe the leaves with a damp paper towel first, wipe the ares you can see it sitting on this stops the spores spreading and reduces its resistance to the neem oil.
Thank you. Time to roll one up, put some good tunes on and get to work. I cant thank you guys enough for chiming in and being so helpful and friendly with the advice
Don’t spray on the auto that’s finishing flowering, it will make it taste crap lol and you will have to wash your buds. I try not to spray anything on my flowering plants if I can hep it but you should be good up to 2 weeks before chop.
I started on the auto. I only saw 3 small spots on larger fan leaves so i trimmed them off. I’m hoping the buds and rest of the plant will be ok. Im going to keep a close eye on it. Its 10 full weeks flowering this monday. It called for 8-9 weeks flowering, the last one(pictured at the very top) i pulled at 9 and wish i went longer.
They scrub up well I will take leaves off as well if I find big amounts of PM on them, then wipe the minor stuff off and spray. Just keep an eye out for it, until you can get your climate control back.
