I had the exact same issue. It hurt when the needle went in, and it was sore for the next week or so. I expected something similar when I got my 2nd shot, but the opposite happened. I seriously had no idea that I got the shot (I asked him ā€œdid you do it?ā€), and had zero pain after that.

As far as Iā€™m concerned, the reason my first shot hurt is because the woman who gave it to me wasnā€™t as skilled as the guy who gave me the 2nd shot. That may or may not be the reason it was so sore afterwards, but I have heard that soreness is a side-effect of the first shot.

It took me 6 months to get my smell back to about 75 percent now still not at 100 took a month and a half to even catch the idea of what smell is again.I was freaking out because the doctor told me that itā€™s nerve damage from Covid and I though Iā€™d never smell or taste anything again I was depressed about it for awhile. The first thing I could taste and sort of smell was black coffee. Then it came back slowly. Before that I could eat an onion like a toddler eats an apple.Still not at 100 % yet though and my nose is always stuffy now but I can smell the nuances of my weed again.I though I lost that for good.

Had my first jab today. So far so good. I donā€™t trust the government as far as I can spit but all these covid deniers are living in a fantasy. My wife has already lost 4 family members and my 38 year old neighbour was on his death bed so I can tell you now this shit is real. The whole polarisation and mixing political opinions in this is a fucking mess. At the end of the day my family doesnā€™t deserve to have me assed out on a hospital bed so I did it mainly for them. Last week I had a go at a guy dropping his kids off at my daughters school for not wearing a mask which is the rulesā€¦ I later found out heā€™s a doctor, pisses me off. No one likes wearing a mask or putting foreign shit in their arms but letā€™s get on with it. Hope everyone is well out there

Definitely feeling some side affects today from the first jab, whole body and head are aching like I played a game of rugby but no fever luckily and the arm that got the injection is actually hardly aching at allā€¦ itā€™s more the neck and back.

Just to clarify some things on my last post, these are not pro or anti vax statementsā€¦ this is in relation to people who think their opinion matters when rules like wearing a mask is to protect people and especially around my 2 year old.

This comment means ā€˜letā€™s get on with livingā€™, I donā€™t agree with forced vaccinations or forced anything. But people who down play covid and deny the severity arenā€™t looking at the real numbers. Just because youā€™re not personally affected doesnā€™t mean itā€™s not real and some empathy goes a long way.

Thereā€™s too much of a ā€œus vā€™s themā€ mentality in todayā€™s world, we are all in this together.

Thatā€™s my 2 cents anyway.

Once again wishing everyone happiness and health :v:t4:
