My good friends father died with C19 over the summer. His wife died on Dec 20th with C19. His son died on Dec 26th with C19. None were vaccinated.
Sorry for your losses @BigMike55 Iâve been lucky enough not to lose anyone I was particularly close with yet but I really feel for you.
Yes, and people like my daughter put their health at risk everyday caring for them. It is so hard on her having 20/30 year olds dying on her.
My wifeâs sister died a few months ago from a fall. We went to the funeral, of course. Two weeks later we found out that nearly everyone at the funeral got C19. We, thankfully, did not. All have since recovered, but DAYUMmm!
I will say this again⌠For the thousandth time.
This is a wellness checkin thread for those users with covidâŚ
It is not a vax discussion.
Get it on track or take a break.
Also @Grease_Monkey was not George who flagged the post
My apologies to @George the timing was mighty convenient and I jumped the gun⌠to whomever it was, my previous post stands
Humbly accepted , BTW I was referring to sedinâs post and his Nothing puts me in the at risk category while he is a risk for others âŚ
Hereâs a link for free covid test kits in the USA
Just went through that a bit ago, got mine coming
Something I think people should have access to in case they canât get out to the doctor⌠Even better itâs free.99 so why not?
Free is always good my wife just bought some as well lol
Thanks. I just ordered some for me and the wife.
I get mine for free at Rite Aid, Walgreens and Meijers
Really you have to pay for them in Walgreens here
Keeping on topic, itâs great that they are available to people now.
Stay safe everyone
Free Masks will be available in about a week as well
Had it. Survived it. Was fully vaccinated. Was pissed I couldnât smell/taste terpsâŚ. Still canât really wellâŚ. Went through the whole family, quick. All of us vaccinated except my 18-yo son, who shook it off like a dog after a cold bath. Iâm not making light of it. It kills and I knew people who it has killed. My brother-in-law, an actual real-life cowboy and one of the strongest, healthiest guys I ever met, almost died. He just contracted it again⌠how is that even possible? (He was not vaccinated)
Just like people who get the vaccine, your brother-in-lawâs body created antibodies to fight the virus. It doesnât make us or him immune, but it greatly increases the chance that the virus wonât be a death sentence. I just hope he recovered well enough from his first bout to give him the strength to fight it again. People with compromised immune systems often have a much harder time fighting the virus.
I see that you just added that he was not vaccinated, which I assumed was the case with his first go-around. But not getting vaccinated after it almost killed him, wellâŚhe must be a gambling cowboy.
Very good way to put it. People donât need to see it as immunity, more an insurance planâŚ
However, letâs steer back to users who have it and are currently recovering from it.
Hoping everyone is doing well. Stay safe, stay happy! Spring is coming
Yes - my apologies.
I suppose the good news is that this thread isnât currently getting lots of updates each day with members who have it themselves. Letâs hope it stays that way!
It really is! Glad to see weâre all pulling through
