Well I am all ears and will ask questions for I am ignorant and have opinions; then I have an experience and it changes my opinion. Maybe this is what you are saying?
The mit class was enlightening. Clever undergraduate in any case…
So, by growing enough individuals over time one could map a line in a pedigree grid using this and make sense of outliers by confirming distance between genes
I have a pack of , People under the stairs : Hierloom Orange x 4DD, and the Hierloom orange came from Dutch passions “orange bud”, which reference “skunk” on seedfinder, interesting.
Yes and like the last part where they were mapping the chromosome by the mutants was very clever. That is why numbers matter so you can link one trait to two or more traits and can estimate the distance and frequency of cross-over. Sturdevant was a brilliant kid (UROP)!
That is why good notes and observations break down the chromosome into smaller chunks and the math is there to predict the distance they are apart and linkage. That is why when the % are less than 50% there is a good chance of cross-over when you are looking for that certain trait. Plants are hard for they take so long to mature but numbers make it go faster if you can educate yourself what to look for. Drosophila is easy to work with in that respect
I figured you would like that “Nerdlinger”
I appreciated it very much
Looks like little spoons down at the base of it interesting. Plant looks delicious and delicate. Not sure if I want smoke it or eat it
Very advanced notations based on plastic colored spoon and knifes ^^ Top high tech, fuel industries style
It was the winner female used as a taste agent in another project, pure californian orange juice mixed with sugar cane. Finished in ~40 days. The smell was demoniac, giving you the munchies before lighting the blunt. Not specially potent but good mood enhancer.
After this journey i was sure that the “pure skunk” stated by DP was not real. But i’ve never figured what was the origin of this taste agent. Maybe just an old part of the making off of the skunk that became stabilized by luck. Or the injection of a NL that create this tepernoid shock. Or … but the more the skunk was massively killed each step, the more “orange” taste.
Does Agent Orange = California Orange? I like the California Orange and the PP!
Bad pic but the two closest are Power Plant and have two months of veg till August for flowering
I love the Cali-o, as hell. Worked a bit with the AE77 during this project. I love the high also, warm and sunny. Close to the Bubba Kush, but totally on the other side of the force : high, and not debilitating.
PP is a nice memory too, another underrated classic. Not the same smoke at all, very much more in the durban poison category.
For the AO i pass, the best is to contact Jill and to try to don’t have something shady ^^
update : curious about the rectangular trench …
Agent orange = orange velvet x jack the ripper
Orange bud = skunk1 selection
California orange = no official lineage but Thai x [Afghani x Acapulco Gold] ” Or “thai x early girl [Afghani x Mexican Sativa]” seem to be it, origins are lost to history.
(Skunkman says he knows exactly whats in it, who bred it and where but never gave that info)
and I will vault this as a log here on these roadkills…this menacing creature at 30 days flo under a 400whps has turned scary…I’ve reported back to the breeder that there seems to be this heavy thickset oil vapour encompassing the whole plant to the point that when I put my face in close and inhale my eyes sting instantly and my nose has been burned?..now I have been around a long time and a lot of ppl know me as stand up and I don’t come to bend my ego for acceptance…I personally don’t care on it…my care is the excitement in just how nuclear toxic a version of roadkill can become at short notice…last night I smelt main top cola and was instantly knocked back like I just smelt high grade ammonia…eyes stung a good 20 or 30 mins and my nose is still perma sore 24 hours later…I don’t know what chemical compound or formula this is but it’s actually making me steer away from the plant as much as I can…now I’ve caught the stink,my senses don’t want burning anymore…its frightening how its burnt my nose up…wtaf is that all about?…whatever these roadkills are, you have ammonia solvent abuse going on and it’s not pleasant…I can’t get a decent representation of what this is truly as the ammonia gas is burning me…now can someone with any definitive knowledge on roadkill skunk dating back 30yrs tell me what the fuck is going on?…its like there’s an actual vapour forcefield of oil telling me to not step forward and ingest…and if you do I would understand I couldn’t think of a better example of a skunk spraying me with some ammonia based bs because this is exactly what this is…deadly and human oil toxic in vapor form alone…
I will quote here historically that these roadkills are something not from this earth!!!.
edit…and look inside what’s going on here…I’ve waited my whole lifetime for moments like this to come along in my growroom and in growroom terms many highly established breeders over the yrs gifted me work because of that fact…cannasuer seeds and my very good freinds down there are trusted and regarded ppl and I’ve given credit to pistils and doc for yrs in getting me high the right way…both those guys bought me everything I am today in regards to weed…I will quote there has been some kind of miracle achieved here because I’ve seen a lot of your work and everything exceptional but this step into an arena I’ve not seen in decades shows just how competent your breeding practice is…you can’t produce genes that burn me before I even smoke them jesus christ…this makes all your exodus work that was high grade excellence in my book…actually look like you left earth and came back all superman an shit!!!..this isn’t normal work you see everyday and it’s no formal promotion on some bs scheme to invite ppl to try this work…I’ll put my 55 Yr existence on earth on the strength of these roadkills being the most toxic oil ammonia compound formula I’ve seen anywhere…I understand you gave these as a tester just to see what they were saying…Well you’ve made my eyes and nose extremely sore and knowing me 20 yrs I don’t shit ppl stories…if anyone of providence on og that actually believes that when you walk near a plant and get struck by a chemical air oil vapour agent that burns you I would invite you in your lifetime to test my claim if you ever get a chance…this f1 denomination is increasing the excitement to how toxic this can get…at 30 days I can’t properly get near the fucker…the most innovative formula adopting a live cannabis plant I’ve ever witnessed on earth…I spoke on ig and gave you the goat badge…I don’t give that out to no one(lol)…i dont earn your respect you know that with me,you earn mine and thats how it works with ogs…you get the goat badge Daniel and you sit with legends for producing this…and if you call me a liar I’ll come Birmingham and beat you up!!!…all love ugly…brilliant work and your best ever by a country million miles…hope you like my horse:kiss:
What Are Thiols?
Thiols are sulfur-containing compounds that are often potent aromatics. The one’s brewers are excited about are tropical, winey, and citrusy, while other thiols are intensely unpleasant with aromas of garlic or rotten eggs… which is why the thiol mercaptan is added to natural gas to alert people to leaks. The “skunky” aroma of the light-struck beer is also 3-methyl-2-butene-1-thiol.
Unlike many other beer aromatics that require concentrations in the ppm (parts per million) or ppb (parts per billion), many thiols have an aroma threshold in the range of 5-70 ppt (parts per trillion). This means that it doesn’t take much of them to be apparent, but also means that it doesn’t require “high” concentrations to become dominant.
I wonder how thiols play a role in cannabis. Just trying to see how it enhances or modulates cannabis /hemp.
BEAUTIFUL! Deep green Color! I wonder if it likes nitrogen and hates the heat?
the breeding program I understand was in reasonably warm conditions in Spain so I can quite imagine these being resistant to a degree or 2 higher temps as I’m seeing…the nitrogen was stopped around 4 weeks and is now currently feeding on incremental quart strength doses of bioheaven and biobloom per ltr…she took 8 ltrs recently with just a trickle run off…consuming ample amounts of water at this stage and doesn’t look like stopping soon…the soil hydro pot works miracles keeping maximum airflow at feet of pot to spread monsters!!!
Well now, this is very interesting. I was wondering if there was anyone from AE77 left, which was by invite only. I considered us the elite of the community. It was privileged honor to be an AE77 member. And yes Cali-o was amazing orange bud. I truly did enjoy that one immensely along with Souls Genius.
I found this paper an interesting nerd-out:
Some interesting stuff in there on the specific locus for the various terps and cannabinoids and discussion on the epistatic linkages between them…
Not my case actually, i don’t even know the guy. But you can be sure that i’ve a big respect for this selection.
Back in the days (~2009) a partner finally bought the clone after harassing me to work with the C-Plus of Chimera. That was a nightmare. So i harassed him back to have a decent material ^^ I enjoyed the cut a lot, the genetic value was amazing.
Well better than thousands of words, even worked you will recognize the specific buds ^^
Genius is a reference i regret to don’t have worked/touched. But at this time the spanish was rushing on everything “sold by name”, it was not at the menu to be clear. Sadly.
Just reading it brother will give it a look, thanks for throwing this at me!
Has anyone heard of a dwarf DC variety? I also wonder about how prevalent the giantism traits also.
Looks like people are starting to panic about Tom Hills seeds not being able to get any or maybe a shortage . Maybe he has so dam many orders that he is bogged down.
Texas A&M can’t figure out how to grow cannabis, all over the place from it flowering too soon and the THC jumping around. Wow if there was a source they could go to and read about hmmm?
I wonder how many are lurking on here trying to figure out how photoperiod works?
If I had a 14-16 week type would South Texas be good for a tropical type?
Dwarfism and gigantism are transgressive phenotypes and so follow the same rules…
More common in inbred hybrid lines etc etc
