CSI Snow White: phase two of a project

Hello Growmies!

Welcome to the second phase of a project I am working on which is making a cannabis cross in memory of my late wife who passed from pancreatic cancer. The first part was concluded with the grow from CSI Humboldt using the Hawaiian Lites F2 and obtained pollen from a male plant. This next part is using feminized seeds from CSI Humboldt which is Snow White. This cultivar is a cross of The White x Humboldt Snow. I havent come across many pictures of this plant grown out so it will be an exciting adventure.

I went with these two cultivars as they felt right. The Snow White spoke to me because if my late wife was a Disney Princess she probably would have been Snow White. She was a lover of animals, enjoyed nature/plants, and was incredibly selfless. I chose the Hawaiian Lites F2 for the pollen donor as the last wedding anniversary we got to spend together was in Honolulu, Hawaii. She planned this trip completely with out my knowledge and was probably the only time I can think of she ever kept a secret from me during our entire partnership.

I decided to go back to what practices I have used that were going to work and not worry about messing anything up. The seeds started in Fox Farm soil with a mix of roughly 60% Ocean Forest and 40% Happy Frog. The nurtients used will be Fox Farm Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom along with Botanicare Cal/Mag plus. The same soil mix was used for the plants final growing pot.

Something I am doing to make this cross more special to me is once the seedlings out grew there solo cups I moved them to their fabric pots which had a portion of my late wifes ashes mixed in the soil. Some people who I have shared this idea with asked why dont I mix the ashes with the newly created cultivar? I felt growing with the snow white gave the remaining portion of her physical being a chance to nourish the plant and gave a piece of her the opportunity at creating life once again. My late wife wanted nothing more than to be a mother and felt we were incredibly lucky to have one child before her unfortunate and inevitable passing.

Originally, I started with 5 seeds and had four successful make it to the seedling stage. The 5th was growing fine but had a major helmet head and even with precision Tweezers the seed case took the whole head off. First time I have had that happen and sure it wont be the last.

I have been documenting this plants growth for the past month as I germinated pretty much at the same time I started the Staff of Life which is going in a seperate thread. So you may have seen a few brief pictures of them and not realized what they were.

Here is a photo dump and hope you enjoy this next phase with me. Thank you for being here

Once again, I am using some witchy stuff for this grow as my late wife did dabble into realm a little bit. This is Angel Quartz you see is stated to help bring balance to body, mind, and soul. Help heal the chakras and bring cosmic consciousness.

The image above might look familiar as I posted this in the Staff of Life thread. The Snow Whites are on the left side in a row.

I really enjoy the idea of using smaller containers to start in as the roots seem to be more robust when transplanted into a larger growing pot.

Everyone including the Staff of Life have been moved into my flowrring tent till my 4x4 frees up from the Hawaiian Lites F2 drying. During this time I have started triming up the plants and will be applying LST clips for the remainder of their growth. These will be in vegetative for another two weeks at max and will start flowering. I may not post again till then.

Once again, thank you for reading through all of that and being here to enjoy this emotional project with me!:heart::heart:

I’m wishing you success on your creation. I too have lost love ones to pancreatic cancer. Great grandmother, and her daughter my grandmother. This has given me an idea/ motivation to do some work with some og genetics as grandma’s name is Florida.:v:t5::love_you_gesture:t5:

Beautiful thing your doing. I think a lot of us here have joked once or twice about having our ashes used to grow some premium buds. Going a step further in creating a memorial cross is a nice touch. Wishing you a the best on this endeavor.

Another thing she wanted done with her ashes is to have a tree planted some where preferably a state park or in a public garden with a living urn. It wasnt till after passing I learned how much most properties wanted for care after the tree was planted.

So I decided to have the tree planted in my backyard with her ashes and remembered we still had her placenta from when she gave birth to our child and had that planted with the tree. I chose a Burr Oak tree as its native to my state, is hardy, and pretty resistant to diseases or droughts. That tree is about 9yrs old now and should be ready in 12-15yrs I think before it starts producing seeds.

I have will have plenty of time to learn how to properly plant tree seedlings

This is hands down one of the cooler and meaningful things I’ve seen done here. Bad ass!

Plus this will end up being a banger of a cross I know!

Energy transfers, it doesn’t die! She will continue on through this project quite literally!

You’re a bad ass dude! Keep doing what you’re doing brother! You’re crushin’ life!

If you clone your cross you can keep it practically the same plant for years. It would be nice

That isnt a bad idea… I may have to devote a space for this specifically
