The last seeds I sorted, I started when I had just cut the plant down. Seemed to be going pretty well. Figured I’d let it dry out and it’d get way easier, nope. I began wishing I’d just finished when I first started.
It was my first time sorting a complete plant, indoor, only about 3’ tall.
I’ll try this way with my next seed plant, thanks.

The one I did today is extremely small. However, this still illustrates. Note that most of the vegetation is still on the plant.
After I was done, I tore up the vegetation and rolled a doobie for later testing after it dries. The entire plant fit into one joint and there were 4 seeds left that hadn’t been previously dislodged.

DAF pheno #5. I’m making a permanent record because it’s 
FIRE! It’s definitely knocking out the first mom I tested. I don’t want to go digging through my seeds to get the number of the other pheno, so I just now started marking the best seeds with a magic marker until I do. 
So upon this rock shall I build my line! - depending on how well she defends her territory. Because the trials and tribs have just started.
Let me tell you the story…
After smoking half the joint, I was feeling good and wanted to make this post. I tried to make this post in the wrong thread, but luckily I figured it out before wasting too much time. Then I saw the wrong pheno number in a previous post. So I edited it. Then I realized I was wrong and edited it back. Really clumsy thinking for about half an hour. I’m feeling fine, like it’s not going to wear off anytime soon, but I’m functional now.

I chopped the rest today, day 88 depending on which label. They had plenty of amber in every frame. More than where I usually harvest. So basically your three month grow.

My wife pointed up to a paper plate on top of a shelf and said, “Can you do something with this?” I took it down and saw what looked like a single cola chopped into pieces to fit on the plate.
I’ve done that before. About two months before. Since I remembered doing it, I assumed these were Gelato Meat, another strain I’ve been hunting through. I did allow these to receive a little pollen (from DAF) and expected a few seeds, but these were loaded 
with seeds.
So I mixed them all together. After all, I thought they were the same branch. I love the smell! 
It’s a little bit of dried orange peel, with a nice whiff of diesel. Not as loud as I’d like, but enough to satisfy my urges.
I smoked some, and it’s fantastic! Not what I expected, though. It’s a very opiate-like high. Drowsy, pleasant, something that makes me less likely to take a few shots when I’m really stressed. I use alcohol medicinally, and don’t like imbibing more than once or twice a week.
No couch-lock. In fact, after smoking, I was picking out and sorting seeds. I remember thinking that there was going to be something very special in the F2. While seeding and sorting, I was trying to remember which auto it came from. And it occurred to me that the mother itself could be an auto. Then it hit me: “This is DAF, you dumbass!”
So there’s no selection this generation, folks. What we have now is an open pollination.

I’ll be starting some to test soon. But fewer plants and bigger pots.
