Dendro's Outdoor Grow 2022

It sucks that you can’t just walk into a store and buy a gun. For what it’s worth, every gun control law from the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA34), to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (GCA68), the Lautenberg Amendment are unconstitutional and morally wrong.
I could talk your ear off about guns, so either brace yourself (if you do want to read about them) or please feel free to tell me to stop. I won’t take offense if you ask me to stop.
First and foremost, remember that it’s better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6. If you don’t mind some suggestions, I’ll point you in the right direction about what to get. If I could have no other firearm, I’d have a pump-action 12 gauge. At close range they’re utterly devastating. One round of 00 buckshot at close range is every bit as effective as a 9-round burst from an MP5 or other submachine gun. At longer ranges, slugs are every bit as powerful as any high-powered rifle (.308, .270, 7mm, etc.) out to 100 meters. You can also use birdshot for small game. I’d also recommend that it have a capacity of at least 5 rounds.
Another option is a bare-bones AR, preferably 5.56/.223. Get it bare bones because of the price, and so you can customize it any way you want. Some people will tell you that 5.56/.223 is not powerful enough. That’s nonsense. Even if the round is small, an AR magazine holds 30. The recoil is mild and the effective range is 300 meters. You can also get upper receivers in lots of different calibers, including large and heavy rounds like .458 SOCOM or .450 Bushmaster.
Pistol caliber carbines (PCC) are another option, but keep in mind the smallest rifle calibers (5mm family of cartridges) are about 3 times as powerful as the majority of pistol calibers (9mm, .40, .45). A 9mm generates just under 400 foot-pounds of energy (FPE) at the muzzle, while a .223 generates about 1200 FPE at the muzzle.
Of course I’m going to recommend an AR platform. It’s extremely popular for a reason, many reasons, actually. It’s accurate, reliable (the AR platform has undergone many improvements in its half-century of service, and in the military and civilian markets) and common. Availability of ammo, parts, accessories is a factor. I strongly suggest you choose something common, caliber-wise; even the most effective caliber weapons are useless if you can’t find ammo. You also want the highest capacity possible.
If it helps, my personal loudout is an AR15 (essentially a civilian-legal version of the Army’s M4) with a red dot sight and high quality backup iron sight (I spent as much on my iron sights as I did on my red dot), an 8-round pump shotgun with an 18-inch barrel and a Glock pistol. In a perfect world, every shooter would have some variation of the 3-gun loadout. If that’s not possible, get a shotgun. Whatever you do, train, train and TRAIN. Go through your fundamentals of marksmanship until it becomes reflexive.

Damn, that sounds familiar, Im always squinting up to see what pics are which…more of an art than a science…lol…yeah, take your time bro, I know I do, if Im floored in life, I just gotta let it all go for awhile, I know yall understand if I dont respond directly or end up moving on and that goes both ways…and alot of times, I do respond, it just gets lost in the sauce…I am really amazed and fortunate that you and alot of others keep up with me at all. I get that I can unknowingly or subconsciously reflect my inner feelings through my writing or whatever but I honestly mean only the best, I have a dry sense of humor(possibly from living in England for a few years growing up?) so I bet sometimes my words come across not exactly how I intended them…but alas, I have faith that yall are pickin up what Im puttin down. I would say we are all somewhat similar here, in the ways that count at least.
So the BBM was only a month into veg so I agree, inconclusive. Would have to run a hundred seeds just to have a slight idea of what all is wrapped up in there. A mut of a mut of a mut. PI just noticed that as soon as it was put under less daylight hours, she responded. Im still confused what they mean by ‘fast’. Fast to flip, fast to finish, just fast fast fast I guess! I know I could and will do more reading on the subject but I also like to just see it with my own eyes if possible before all the contradictory information online gets me even more confused, yeah know? Lol… so all I was really pointing out is simply that she was not full auto, as expected, but as far as the rest goes, 100% inconclusive. The difference between fast flowering and full photo will be interesting to look for and I assume it will be all over the place untill I can make some more generations. I also already see traits of what Ive seen on alot of autos so its just a unique looking plant from the get go. Ill try to do more reading to memorize some of the common terms so I can keep up with the conversation. I mostly just have my own experiences at this point as I have a hard time learning something only from reading about it, so mostly hands on here! Then eventually, I can read and comprehend more and finally start talking with others…its been a slow process for me but I truly appreciate the encouragement and shared enthusiasm for the brosearch. Your monster cola looks delicious btw! And the gloves really make the photo! I have a pack laying around but I always thought people liked seeing my photogenic hands…Seinfeld anyone?..but yeah bro, thats an impressive harvest weight as well and your cure probably tastes phenomenal! Thats whats up bro! Congrats! Hope to hear from ya soon but no stressin from me, as always, thanks for taking the time to check in and for showing us that beautiful beast of a baby leg! I was in a weird place for a few days there, but I think Im getting my shit together. Oops, nevermind, I lost it again…lol…I appreciate you dude! Happy Tokin and stay safe out there brother!:v::heart:

Good God my dude, Im just impressed when someone truly knows their shit about anything. Thats some impressive information to just jot down. As I’ve stated before, I am still a felon and always will be so wont be possessing any firearms anytime soon but the fact remains that I feel that this information is still important to know because times do change, and we must adjust accordingly. Hopefully not anytime soon but we do live in strange times so all positive, life saving advice and education is welcome and appreciated here…I really enjoy the diversity in topics…Ive can say for sure, I have and still take the road less traveled and always will. Forever duckin and dodging

You mean to tell me all those late nights of ‘Call of Duty’ or ‘Halo’ didnt prepair me for whats to come?! Its ironically funny the topic came up today, my neighbors were going full out Armageddon next door this afternoon, I honestly dont mind it but my dogs hate it and something tells me my neighbors think its funny, which I dont like much. Its not my fault they built their house right next to a real deal dog and cat kennel and they shouldn’t try to scare my dogs just because they bark. We haven’t even turned the kennel on yet, its just our four dogs! For now, wonder what they’ll think when we move to a different property and just hire out the kennel, full time.

Auto/Photo hybrid began flowering automatically at 9 weeks. Flowered for 9 weeks too (4.5 months total). It seems to have just initiated early. I put her outside in May, harvest August. My observation is essentially just fast to flip. I don’t know if I would have seen a difference had it not been 2 months old by solstice, but it’s clearly finished 6 weeks before anything else. I wonder if you had put it out earlier you might have seen the same. Seemed like a timer went off in her head and she just flowered.

I feel like I’m not really interested in breeding until I can grow better/more. There are some farms around me maybe I could talk to about running some seeds for pheno hunting, in which case I’d definitely do it. I’d be most interested in more heirloom type IBLs and recreating lost cuts. I admire your can-do attitude! Living vicariously through you!

Lol, so you’re a hand model like George? I think I ran out of gloves yesterday so I’m going to be au natural this morning. Hopefully each day this long weekend everything will be trimmed for cure.

As for the melons, last summer I got 1 great one without trying. I’ve been more invested this season, but live and learn. Happy for you and that beautiful cantaloupe. Glad you got a good watermelon too. Mine are coming  :crossed_fingers:

Your plants are looking great! I wonder if your latitude just starts flowering a little later, could be genetics too. I’ve been paranoid about overdoing feeding too, but my commercial grow friends are running 3-4 EC (that’s twice where I ever was before I started the teas), every watering (that’s at least 3x more frequently). I’m feeding some more today, picked up some terp tea bloom booster to kick up my potassium a bit in the tea, noticed some deficiency starting all around. I’ll post a new round of pics Tomorrow or Monday when they’re happy with their meal

Wish you were in NM to give me feedback on my herb! Seems pretty good to me, it’s so nice to have weed for joints. Back in college when I smoked a lot joints were a rare treat, I mostly used a bong or a vaporizer (I built my own, of course). My friends used to call me Dr. Red Eyes because I was a chronically blazed nerd that did good in school…bafflingly

NM, especially small town, isn’t bad. The same fentanyl/meth/benzo crisis everywhere has, mixed with higher-than-average poverty. Big homeless issues in Albuquerque, and it’s tough for me. I almost wound up in the same boat, so I have a lot of compassion but it’s incredibly easy to get burnt out getting asked for money everywhere you go, often several times. The drug issues fuel the property crime and violent crime, gang or otherwise. I try to avoid putting myself in a place to be an easy victim, but don’t think about it much.

Have a good day, that basement is going to be a great grow spot! Hope things are going smoothly for it’s restoration

Snow Fire Kush just tryin to keep a grip on this girls growth, if she flowers anywhere near as hard as she killed it in veg, should be a good Christmas this year and next.

Don is still stacking hard and should be the first to finish, will definitely do my usual multiple harvests off this plant, shes got some nice stuff setting up inside that will probably be cut in two weeks or so for extracts, my finger nails are green from this stank b@tch!

The Ginger Grant is looking rough, to say the least, we’ll see how she turns out but she didnt like my rough nasty ways, or so she says…aint over till the phat girl sings

Just a quicky, still gotta get back to some peeps, particularly wondering how my dude @Jetpup is doin around here? Did you get a thread going? Still messin with Q?

Bout to finish up this yard and holla back, Happy Growing, Mowin, and Tokin! :relaxed::call_me_hand:

Well good to hear on the security/legality issue. Makes such a difference. The weather issues your facing are not something I need to worry about much, not when I hear people like yourself speak of such low temps this early?! My heart goes out, probably using a greenhouse? Im certainly planning to build one next year, we’ll see, plans are just that!

We are starting to get those same hemp fields as well as new growers that leave out males, Ive already noticed a few random extra swollen calyxs that I didnt see earlier this year on my light deps, but it could also just be pollen sticking around from those recent chucks. One of the prices of legalization, better late than never, and my own sloppiness, Ill take it though, two inch mats really hurt my back and paying a doller for a single pack of ramen is just insane!

Well wishes on the grow and Hope your having a good weekend

Yes same to you have a good long weekend . I’m hoping we won’t see frost till October no green house here worst case they’ll come down early or I’ll throw them in a shed with a light if I have to.
No way will they come inside or the tin box after spending the summer out doors. Not making that mistake again .

You couldn’t be more right as we really are directly on top of a ridge! It goes from full light to full dark in like 15-20min? Ive actually never thought about it like that, but I will from now on! What an intelligent observation from a picture, nice one!:+1: Thanks for that.
