Thanks, my friend! That means a lot coming from my favorite Ukrainian grower!
man, so been doing research, trying to figure out what is causing my issue. So, Jacks just…drifts up? Thats just like…a thing for some folks? I use a “rez” for watering, but the water gets changed out of it every couple of days or so.
Its strange. When I mix it, if its low it seems to stay there for as long as I measure. But if it ends up being mixed around 5.8+, it seems to slowly start rising up, maybe a full integer a day.
I cant believe I didnt think of this yet, but i’m going to be recalibrating my Hanna pen, and also get a water test done to see what I’m really working with. I think I can send a sample to jacks and they’ll tell me whats up too?
@Klyphman yo, i reversed the #2, which was one of the quicker ones. I really liked all of the moms that I hit her with, so I think there should be some really really nice Celestial Select plants to find in those seeds
2 weeks later, TK S1 def gonna fill out this 3’ x 3’ outdoor scrog thing I’m doing. Another metal fencing layer going on in a week or two.
Also, a boring early veg shot of Celestial Select S1. She’s still got a month or so before flowering typically initiates around here—plenty of time to put on some size, but nothing too crazy.
Looking nice and healthy dude! Im excited for what you find in the Celestial Select, im looking forward to getting those popping once some room opens up here.
So i realized what my issue regarding the pH. so I was never pouring more than I needed at once before, maybe a little bit extra, so I never had to worry about a reservoir in the past. When I switched over to making multiple batches of water at once, I didnt bother checking to see if I needed to change the way I did anything. Apparently when left in the rez, jacks will cause the pH to slowly creep up. I’m still not sure whats the cause of this but it seems that its an issue for others, not just myself.
So, the tents are hobbling along, not looking great, lots of dry brown/yellow fan leaves, but the buds are looking nice and resinous, stinking just fine, definetly not the best run but she’ll do alright.
Usually if the ph shoots up overnight, it’s a bacterial bloom. Likely feeding on the Nitrogen but could be others. Jacks does this really easily. Maxigro too I found can go bad real quick. Maxibloom doesn’t do it as fast/easily.
I find adding a smidgen of calcium hypochlorite to a 5 gallon bucket of res water every other day or so will stop that from happening.
damn man you are most likely correct. I had completly forgotten that when I ran the ebb and flow setup, I was using a cap full of Family Friendly Fungicide (garden friendly, I just call it that because its funnier to me, idk why) and this rez is pretty much the same thing.
I just been so dang busy that I started to miss simple details like that. bahahaha what a silly mistake.Popping some seeds, lets see if we can get things turned around and start to enjoy this again instead of being stressed out by not having enough time to recognize simple problems. Thats not to say I dont enjoy growing. I do. I just havent had the time I need to really dedicate to how many plants I had going this last run. Definitely not doing a 4x12 again by myself unless I have more time to tend to the garden.
This year has really been a lesson in limits. Hope yall are doing well. Celestial Select and Twin City TItties crosses are gonna get grown out here this fall/winter.
Could it simply be evaporation? Does your rez have a lid?
I mean, even a bucket of plain water sitting long enough will just eventually evaporate, so maybe that’s what’s causing upward creep of the pH?
Celestial Select S1.
About a month old, 12” tall, working on 5th node.
A little bug pressure is good for the plant,
TK S1 continues to grow vigorously as well.
It’s possible but in this instance I doubt it. The “rez” feeds 3 different tents (rolls around on wheels) and hardly goes a day without being used or topped off. It does also have a lid on it. It’s unfortunatly probably just due to my lack of preventative measures.
1.temple Flo x domraq
2.marshmellow juice box x domraq
3.domraq f2
4. (Runtz x Sour bubble) x domraq
I’ve seen a few cannabis photos in my time, but I think these have to be the four most impressive pictures of growing cannabis that I have ever seen.
overflowing with goodness!
oh wow thats gonna be awesome! I’m assuming she has started flower now? Hah sorry I dont know nothin about doin’ it outdoor.
You are correct, that is most likely going to be overflowing with dankness
Nah, not flowering yet. Soon, hopefully. This is an exciting time of year for us outdoor growers. I tend to get a bit impatient right about now
Those look great man. And they look like a breeze to trim. Good work bro.
hahaaaaa i cant wait to see what that outdoor nyx does! damn man under the sun, thats gonna be one helluva plant. bet its gonna have some pretty insane terps too. All of those look fantastic. lets goooo!
@Kavman gonna start the trimming up today. I’ll have some photos of the dried bud too, it all looks pretty dang tasty. Well, it is, I’ve smoked a little bit of each and they’re all awesome. The Temple Flo x Domraq turned out real real nice.
Awesome man. It was good to see you again at the gathering. And thank you for the seeds. I have a few projects to finish up and will have a bit more time and space to pop a few.
