DIY Grow tent

Hello OGers,I have a simple question:I got a very good sun exposure in my room,I also have a grow box structure(all the metal pipes and joints)that I don’t use,but want to put something else to cover It instead of the Classic tent coverture and let the sun through the Window help me with keeping some Moms or some autos in there, maybe doing some seed run inside, also with the help of an Little Led full spec.
What are your advices? Is It doable?
The size of the structure Is a 2*2 growbox
Thanks

You mean something like Panda film?

This is a handy alternative to using a tent.

I have seen people make tents :tent: out of those solar blankets from the dollar store and had great success using them. Who can’t beat a few dollars for success.:sunglasses::v:

Cover most of the sides and leave the window side open :person_shrugging:t2:

Looks right.
0.4mm polyethylene, white on one side black on the other.
If you want to get fancy, some folks actually install velcro or zipper kits. Personally I’d go with a little velcro and good overlap.

Have fun and be creative! :vulcan_salute:

this stuff is so strong it would give me peace of mind using it for the floor, then maybe white on the walls

Yes that looks correct. I bought a 10’ x 100’ roll for $50.00 if I remember right.
I set up a small holder for the roll, slide a board under it, so I could unroll it, measure it, cut it, with out unfolding it.
I made a veg area, 2 flower areas.
I simply stapled it in place to the rafters, BUT use a small chunk of card board, and staple THROUGH IT to hold the sheet vertical.
I also cut enough length to staple a pocket like a curtain, so I can slide a pole into it, and that keeps the wall hanging straight down.
I then ran a section of panda all across the face of my 3 areas. Totally light blocked, but very flexible,
Is it perfect, HELL NO!! But it’s perfect if cheap is your driving point.
I love tents, however, I’m old, and crawling in and out sucks bong water.
There is a section in the first page of my tread, when I rebuilt for my last time, late last year!
Or if you need pics, I got a few.
Best of luck into your build!!

This will be even more durable and reusable than Panda:

Only one left there but this is a similar price:

And use the good tape!

We’ve lined entire houses in panda film, I swear I kept the local hydro store in business just buying that stuff for 9years or so when we were running houses. I would buy skids of the 100’ rolls, stuff is cheap and awesome and it comes in different thicknesses , there’s one that’s almost unbreakable/cuttable and then the pre-made reflective vinyl insulation for ceiling and floors and styrofoam behind the panda film if you need it insulated. You can become an artist with that stuff lol

Sadly in my country all the products @Dirt_Wizard linked are not avaiable on Amazon.
I’ll have to Stick with panda film and cut holes for ventilation, add some velcro tape also. The frame I built Is 60cmx60cmx80ish cm height.
It Is a box where I want to keep 2 vegging autos and 2 bonsai moms with only 100 watt led board,Is It doable?

You might need an extraction fan to control the heat but yes, doable.
Bonsai moms are the way to go… :+1:
