DJ short old world genetics blueberry

Cool man, good luck with the search! After I finish up this goji og preservation I plan on searching out another blue line keeper. Havent decided which pack to start with, got bcm1 and 2, freebie packs of 3, and then flo and first light. The BcM2 female was really nice, and once it got past the early veg stage it was pretty vigorous. Good stretch and the flowers smell heavenly - extra sweet blueberry juice, wish it tasted a bit stronger.

Hereā€™s my newberry mutant momma. I donā€™t think it has a non-mutant leaf on it haha. Itā€™s been fully seeded, revegged, cloned, and Iā€™ve been vegging it since. Right now itā€™s 15" at its tallest point, Iā€™d like to get it to like 24" or a bit more and let it flower. Been doing some training to spread it out some. On the seed run, it was the one that smelled of pure chocolateā€¦ it definitely has the odd chocolate thai structure to it - weird uneven branching, mutant leaves etc. Itā€™s also much more easy-going than my other newberry mom. The other one is the definition of finicky - I transplanted it like a week ago and itā€™s still pale and wilty and sad looking. The mutant one has been put through the ringer, overwatering, underwatering, neglect, low intensity light etc and has not complained once.

Can someone enlighten as to which Grendel an OGā€™er ran in years past and if this is the one? Also, what a BMS is. Thanks!

Edit: Blue Moonshine?

I grew out some DJā€™s Blueberry and Flo back inā€™07. I got the beans from Brad @ Hempdepot a few years before that though before growing them out so not sure exactly when DJ made them. I took a few screenshots from a thread I made at ICmag(I go by Iceman) Hereā€™s the link to the thread in case anyone wants to check it out. I got a few more pics of F13 and Sweet Blue too along side some other stuff that I was growing at the time like ECSD and Bubba. This is for reference for you guys to compare the genetics from then and now. I personally havenā€™t grown out DJā€™s stuff since those days so I canā€™t attest to how it is now. I tell you though the best out of all was the Sweet Blue(Chimera has it as Dolce) as that is some of the best lip smacking cannabis Ive smoked in over 30 years of burning.

First is Blueberry and keep in mind camera technology wasnā€™t like todays. I think theyā€™re 800x600 or something. Okay for the timeā€¦

These are some different Flo phenos

Check this out guys, this is a Schazzleberry F2 male that I found popping some beans. The Schnazz #2 is 3/4s DJā€™s Blueberry. The linage is (Blueberry X Blue Domino or The Dom). The blueberry father(also father of the Sweet Blue too) is the famous B130 male that unfortunately DJ lost somewhere down the line. That STUD male passed on some incredible berry terps man. Anyways, Iā€™m gonna use this guy to hit up a nice Sweet Blue mom and make some beans to eventually pass out to you guys. Iā€™m hoping you guys can find some nice Blueberry funk in them. I might hit up my Wedding Cake too as I close my eyes and imagine the smell of Blueberry muffins and creamy vanilla with skunky undertones.

Edit: this is what Chimera said about The Domā€¦

Blue Domino - (Craigā€™s Skunk x DJ Short Blueberry) Blue Domino by Spice of Life Seeds, line bred by Chimera before breeding with it. "Just to clear the air a little, the Dom was originally a Blue Domino F1ā€¦ these select female Dom used for the Schazz crosses were from a greatly improved and stabilized F3 line. Although the originals were purchased from SOL, the quality of the mothers was due to down line selections. -Chimera

Thanks man but thatā€™s actually gonna be a Pappa not Momma. Iā€™m gonna use him to hit up a Sweet Blue female and maybe a couple of my moms as well like that Wedding Cake and I also got the actual Breeder Steve Sweet Skunk clone which I might dust with it too. Iā€™m gonna make hundreds of seeds and give them all out for free for people to enjoy some fire genetics and keep em going too which is the main thing.

Oh man havenā€™t heard of ISS in a long time always wanted to try it but just forgot about that one. Post some pictures, I would love to see.

Oh man I donā€™t want to hijack the thread here so if so apologies. Anyways, real quick the Island Sweet Skunk is actually a White Widow crossed to the Sweet Skunk clone (Spice of Life/Breeder Steve). The Sweet Blue like I said above is the most blueberry plant Iā€™ve ever tried and Iā€™ve tried quite a few over the years. The Sweet Blue is that B130 male from DJ Short hitting up the Sweet Skunk clone which was a joint collaboration between DJ and Steve. I hope Iā€™m not confusing everyone here, lol. Also, to add to the confusion the Sweet Skunk actually has no skunk in it at all and is actually a NL5XHAZE. Marc Emery changed the name for whatever reason years ago. Anyways hereā€™s a few pictures of the Sweet Skunk clone at 33 days from flip that I just took a few minutes ago with my phone.

Some old genetics from seed makers/ sellers from the 70ā€™s . Youā€™ve got some gems there that youā€™ve kept viable nice job.

Thanks man, they got quite a bit left to go like about 7 more weeks or so. I fed her from the same batch of nutes I made up for Wedding Came which can take a heavier feeding so I gotta back off a little especially with the nitrogen on the Sweet Skunk. I forgot to mention before that I also have a nice Sweet Blue male that I have had for a few years. Iā€™m gonna hit the SS clone with that too.I already used him on a Wedding Cake, 707 Headband, and a Super Silver Haze that ive had for almost 20 years that I call the coffeeshop pheno because itā€™s got that Dutch Haze smell/taste. Iā€™m trying to figure out who to get these beans to so they can pass them out to everybody. I went to a couple of the free seed threads and its a bit confusing but I donā€™t want anyone paying anything but shipping costs for them. I literally made hundreds of them for each plus more in a few months once I hit up everything with that Schnazzleberry. Hereā€™s my Wedding Cake cut that got hit with the Sweet Blueberry male @ 37 days.

I popped some already of that (SBxWC) cross and theyā€™re about a month old from seed and vegging nicely. Hereā€™s a shot of one and this one looks like itā€™s leaning towards the WC mom.

@GregorSmith Thats awesome ! Im out of like for the next 8 hours.
I wouldnt mind running some of those for you, but I have a bit going in right otherwise I would gladly.
Thats awsome you kept the SSH for that long. I have never been able to find that strain to try out. The one you have sounds amazing thou. Ive been looking for that nice older dutch haze taste. Its been gone from my area since late 2000s :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

But you might try the preservation thread. Offer a few for a seed run and im sure you can find someone to help you or rather us (OG) out.

And if those still need like 7 weeks left, they are going to be monsters it looks like :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I think I may have read what you said wrong, but If you just need someone to pass out beans, then there are only a few memebers on here I would trust to be in charge of that.
The ones dedicated to the seed runs we have here would be my choice.
@DougDawson and Sebring are two who I would suggest. There are a few others that also do the seed runs, but I need to find the names for you. Doug and Sebring handle USA and CAN They normally take care of collecting and redistributing all the beans from the seed rrun to all the other members who sigbed up for some.

Thank you for the generosity, I hope you can figure it out as I would love to try some of your crosses. Your genetics look very healthy. Those Blue Wedding Cakes sound delicious :yum:
