Hello, not sure if it was the right place to share. The room smells of fruityness when I kick on the lights. Most have a musk/berry leathery incense type of thing going on. Reminds me of the fruityness you get from GDP. So I guess you could call it a sweet berry earthy smell too. Some more leather and incense some more earth. But the fruit is there. Reminds me of the type/level of sweetness you would get off skunk #1 in a way and reminds of this parking garage carwash/detailing place I used to park next too which ive mentioned before about another smell from a plant (Skunk hybrid). I know thats probably harder to corralate to the smell your asking about. But, damp is probably the best way to describe the musk iam getting off these girls. Hope that’s a ok discription

DJ started releasing his work in Oregon in 79/80. I think up until around '84, when he started inbreeding and holding onto his work with a tighter grip.
BOEL has an early version of DJ’s BB called Mr. Blue that goes around Canada these days.
In the late 80’s and early 90’s, his work was released as F4.
He went to Dutch Passion and brought clones of his breeders, and popped more seeds. So these Im pretty sure became a Bx.
When DJ left, DP kept breeding with those clones - kind of shady.
Around 97/98, DJ lost some of his parental stock. He may have gotten them back, idk.
Then he lost his parental stock around a decade ago. So he started popping old seeds. I hear he recently got a few of his old breeder clones back. So today’s offerings are F5-F8
Miraculous Meds is one of his white label guys.
A few other guys got permission to work with and release his gear - FourWiseEyes(FWE), me, the guys who did Vitality (kali mist x flo), Green Beaver, and idk who else.
I personally find more BB smells by outcrossing and incrossing (using a different plant, not a Bx) than by popping a bunch of seeds or “f2’ing” his gear.
A great example of this Blue Dream, Johnny Blaze, and Blueberry Blast.
Blue Dream used a female BB clone, one line pollinated by SSH, onli line pollinated by NH.
Johnny Blaze used a BB130 male on a NH clone selected and unreleased by Nevil.
BBB combines the two.
All of my BB work contains at least one BBB dad, pollinating either pre98 BB sativa or a 90’s BlueRhino Cross.
Whereas trying to grow straight BB or cross two BB plants will result in finicky plants that likely wont have the BB smell we remember.
DJ’s lines are probably the best breeding tool Ive ever come across.

I wish JB was still available. I have some BBB but I’d love to find some uncrossed Johnny Blaze fgens or something. Talk about preservation-worthy… Another absolute gem slipping through the sands of time

I will whenever I get around to to growing them out. 2023 is pretty much already planned out. Hoping to grow out a bunch of BB stuff after I get done blasting through some other packs.

I’m going to run DJ shorts Blueberry nursery clone from my local area next season, so it will be around O.G next fall.
This straight Blueberry strain was originally bred by DJ Short, a three-way cross of Afghani Indica X Thai X Purple Thai Sativa. Ours was sourced from Archive seeds.

Guessing they are quite old already - so super cheap price.
Regarding pre-2000 Blueberry, I was gifted a bunch of 20+ year old seeds and am planning a repro run soon. From the pics I saw the Blueberry had colas bigger than forearms.
