Smells a lot like mustyness of the appropriate kind. I’ve tangled with real DJ’s Blueberry a few years back. Besides the intersex traits that popped up I got some Easter Island headed plants that smelled like non sweet chocolate and blueberries if you don’t think about no sugar involved when it relates to weed and flavors. Kinda earthy.
I got some Newberry seeds I’d like to run along side it when I get back to it. There’s a nutty guy who bought a pack when they were limited.
. I bought the last old-school packaged BB I could get. Made seeds with Motz sent me. I only broke about even. I did make some limited stuff that doesn’t matter like half a dozen BB x Goji. I have a nice female BB x MKage I’m gonna take to flower for the fuck of it. Some nice ants up there. I see the clawing. All traits that are inbred at this point? I’m not expert.
Musty though the auto smells. What’s really cool is watching the black take over the green pigment like the acacia strain or the T-virus. Also can’t wait to run some Black Candy Land and want to run the ‘Black BC’ strain.

I crossed his grape crush to somas lavender, blue dream, vanillaLuna and ice cream cake, also have a nice stash of vanillaLuna and the breeders choice mix #1 still. when I get around to hunting them I’m hoping I’ll be able to find those sweet blueberry muffin smells of old.

I read earlier in the thread (2020) that you are better off getting bb crosses from others. Any recommendations on which bb crosses to get and from whome? Thanks bros

Welcome, @beneficial I grew Humbolt seed co Blueberry Muffin nursery clones this year. Stellar all the way through the grow outdoors. Dries beautiful-smells amazing.

I have a few blueberry crosses I have been working for a while now. Plus some pure heirloom blueberry strains I created with Dj. I have his original lines as well.
Heres our new one reminiscent of the blue hued blueberry nugs from the 95 Deer Creek Dead show that turned me onto this blueberry dream I’m in.

One of the best plants I’ve had in regards to blueberry was about 7 years ago and it truly smelled like fresh blueberry muffins and tasted similar. The blueberry muffin I’ve grown from humboldt seed was the clone dark heart has and it smelled more like raspberry or cherry soda but the smell dident carry over to the smoke so I did not keep her around.
Having a real solid blueberry plant would definitely be something to be happy about.

That grape diesel kush line is a direct cross from my pinnacle blue star mother plant to 2 males selected for narrow leaf and extreme sour diesel and broad leaf and extreme blueberry. So the line being an f2 holds lots of recessive phenos besides the name sake. I found everything from bbs ladies to skunky diesels. The growth rates, bud structure, and flowering times are very uniform for an f2. I like to grow them 30 days from germ. About 10" tall, cut a clone off them and flip to flower. With this strategy i found the easiest training with looking thru the most plants at 9 plants per 4x4. You have to prune big sunleaves and lower branches around 3 times. But it fills in the space completely and you get a good look at growth structure without topping.
They can take high feed, are very vigorous, medium stretch, and like to lateral branch. The branching is sturdy and holds the grenade size side flowers.

It’s a wonderful time to be alive. I was thinking of getting that one at the ball. Really wanted the Navy Cross. But after talking to you and explaining what I was after I went with 91 Flo x old time moonshine. Can’t wait to finish this run and start those.
