I’m over here drooling like Scooby Doo.
Your in for a treat with that Flo Shine. Unreleased to the publjc yet. But a few of my grow friends have ran her as well as myself. The consensus is she grows phenomenal flo flowers on an otm structure with a bit more vigor and flower mass/trichome development while maintaining the wonderful flo effect.
@Josh_Blue is doing some incredible work with the Blue lines! Definitely some must have stuff for lovers of blueberry genetics and seed collectors alike.
With the recent releases from DJ and these new joint projects from Josh, I think it really provides the community a lot of different ways to approach peeking into that Blueberry nostalgia that’s so often reminisced about.
@Kavman I was thinking the same thing, what a time to be alive. I was able to add 90’s Blues to the collection and hope to add Flo Shine, Happy Time, and Old Time Blues soon too.
It’s nice seeing all the blueberry lovers in here posting.
Lately, I haven’t been as active or interacting on the forum as much as I’d like and I just want to say thanks to everyone posting here for coaxing me out of my shell today. I really enjoy the community here. Hope everyone is having a beautiful day or night wherever you may be. Much love
Thats the cross with Steve right? I haven’t heard of anything about repros on it yet.
Any more of them old blue berries to share or trade? Always wanted to try the real blueberry from back in the days that everyone raves about.
Thanks for the kind words my blues brother. Its my passion and life goal to work forward these beautiful gems Dj has built for us. Old herilooms and new. Outcrosses and in. I love exploring it all! Happy to share and learn from my fellow blue lovers!
AFAIK, Steve left the further preservation and inbreeding of Sweet Tooth to @Baudelaire and hasn’t kept or worked any of his older lines like Shishka. He seems to have moved on to new pursuits. Seems pretty unlikely he’d still have that mystery Afghani selection from the original cross.
Good to see you around! Any word on them beans yet?
Of course. I sell them to the public using Dj’s verified vendors and some direct as well. But always open to trades etc… I want to keep it within the rules here so I’m not trying to sell thru the website but you can shoot me a pm to discuss. I’m just sharing pics and info publicly here. Feel free to ask any questions related to the blue lines. Ill do my best to answer if I have any insights.
Sweet I can’t wait. Looks awesome. Looks to be bigger colas as well.
I love seeing all the chatter for the blues. Awesome stuff.
Hopefully I will be able to snag some more from @Josh_Blue
Fun thread to read thru!
Over the years I’ve smoked a ton of Blueberry variants and it’s kinda been like pizza or chinese food…the great ones stand out but even the worst of the bunch are tasty and satisfying.
One of my first plants, and first hydro plant, as a grower was a freebie white label blueberry auto and it was fantastic.
Cool that it gave birth to arguably the greatest turn of the century commercial hybrid in Blue Dream, also. Crazy to think that original Blueberry is so tough to grow and Blue Dream has a reputation for being super easy and vigorous.
I love the sc blue dream cut. She’s a special gal. I culled her in favor of my cross though where you can find equal or better than the mother consistently.!
STAR DREAM
BLUE DREAM X BLUE STAR
I see you might be interested in a trade what interests you as far as seed lines go?
Did any of your long kept cuts ever do a 3 leaf thing for awhile then snap out of it and go back to 5 and 7 leaf leaflets after awhile?Ive been keeping a Cut of Texada Timewarp and I’ve had it for almost 2 years and it was 3 leaves for the longest and about 2 months ago just started putting out 7 leaf leaflets
What is bluenote just a cut of blueberry?
Yes. I think that means you have it in a happier condition. Sometimes up potting them for more rootspace, or letting them get some natural sunshine can help. Usually backing off them and not over lighting or over feeding will help pull them out of that wierd leaf expression thing.
I have a couple blueberry females that I am growing. If they are any good I can self them and get some seeds to you?
No cuts. Always from seed from 1991/2- 2017/8
I agree the extra leaf blades mean the plant was happier or vegged long enough to fully express this trait.
