Howdy @nick131740, it’s so rad to see you giving the seedlings a spot deserving of your time, attention, energy and the like. Massive respect for giving them a chance. I think there are some quality genetics within to find utility and enjoyment out of. I really hope they perform wonderfully for you. This is what buddy had in mind for the strategy with those seeds. The lineages are a bit of a mess to follow, apologies for the confusion I’ll try to surmise the work best I can.

DJ Short and his work with his Blueberry types is the foundation for the high, that’s the goal for the effects of the Blueberry to be selected towards. In this instance for the seeds you have, it all started with a selection of Velvet Krush.

A Velvet Krush female was hand pollinated with Cannabiogen Destroyer pollen on select flowers one day and another day different select flowers were hand pollinated with Blue V-2 pollen. It should also be mentioned that Sour Lifesaver pollen was also hand pollinated on other plants on other days, so there is chance of pollen contamination but it should be minimal if any at all. Buddy said selecting towards Destroyer types compared to the Blueberry incross types was the goal with the seeds, essentially creating Blueberry Sativa types and Traditional Blueberry types side by side in those seeds. Those seeds are called Velvet Krush x Who’s Yo Daddy.

They’re a mix of Velvet Krush x either Destroyer or Blue V-2. With a caveat for outliers to the those being selected towards possibly having contamination from Sour Lifesaver pollen that was being used on different plants on different days, but near enough to present realistic opportunity for possible contamination so the asterisk, so to speak.

The goal with those seeds was to select Blueberry Sativa types alongside classic Blueberry short squat types along with whatever else interesting might pop up in the mix. Buddy thought the Thai and Mexican in the Destroyer would pair well with the Blueberry and sort of reinvigorate some of the ancestral wild genes as Blueberry also has Thai and Mexican ancestral heritage. Buddy thought the the Blue V-2 pollen would make classic Blue types, possible recessives and that sort of thing. Hunting the extremes of each end of the spectrum and enjoying whatever else nice that may present in between.

Those Velvet Krush x Who’s Yo Daddy as described above is the same seed lot that the Blue Comet plant was found in. Blue Comet is Velvet Krush x Who’s Yo Daddy, with the speculation that it comes from the Destroyer pollen. So it’s assumed the Blue Comet is Velvet Krush x Destroyer. Here’s a comment I made about the Blue Comet plant that helps explain the nuances of the reasons why it’s assumed to be the Destroyer pollen instead of something else for example Blue V-2 or Sour Lifesaver:

That Blue Comet plant was hand pollinated with Neville’s Haze pollen from MNS seeds. That’s the Blue Comet x Neville’s Haze flip I sent to you.

The other flip I think I sent a couple of the Velvet Krush x Who’s Yo Daddy, so you would have some of the originals where the Blue Comet came from. Thinking you could maybe find a classic Blue type by way of the Blue V-2 pollen. Or maybe another or a better Blue Comet type, something with Destroyer.

I’ve also got some Blue V-2 x Neville’s Haze from buddy, a sort of tip of the hat to DJ’s famed Johnny Blaze. Buddy calls it Bonnie Jaze. I’ve been slacking getting back to the mail but should hopefully be able to send those out to you soon. Seeing this thread is a total treat. Thank you for showing off your experiences with buddies work. Many blessings and much love
