Yeah, about as far as I went was a nice Citizen and Seiko. I do like the weight of a good watch though.
I don’t really wear it much but I have a swatch I got to pick paid for by a large tech company I used to work at. It’s a cool limited run design and has a wind up gear that lasts for about 10 days on 1 wind. Effortless to wind and kind of addictive.
No batteries. After about 4-5 days though the time will be 2-3 mins slow.
Although the face is some kind of plastic and scratches sometimes if you take it to the store they buff it out for free.
I used to wear a watch, but these days, I find myself relying more on my phone to keep track of time. However, I do appreciate the craftsmanship and style of premium class men’s watches.
