Welcome back to another edition of mayhem and merry as we take another trip down the rabbit hole. As always we recommend that those of you who are faint of heart, easy to squirm, and easy to ruffle take a seat in the back of the room. Buckle up and Enjoi as we start this fine year of the dragon off with a bang!!!
As always we would like to thank you in advance for tuning in, turning on, and remember once you proceed there is no turning back. Though I highly doubt you won’t be fully intrigued and enticed by what you find ahead. Until the time comes let us ponder. What is dudeismology and what is it going to mean for you.
To begin this will be a multi step breeding experiment, in which we will begin our journey indoors. For propegation we will be using a secret Jardin DP 90 with a self built, though easy setup, Solstrip with meanwell 80w full driver.
My soil preference as of late has been build a soil 3.0, I have switched to this as of recently to reduce my cost and own carbon footprint, as growing indoors is costly and consuming on many factors (at least today’s culture really seems to enjoy throw away soils and nutrients.) So like many before me I have chosen to try and become a bit more in tune with the soil and how it affects the morphology of the plant.
The seed stock I have for this project is from days of old. Dating back to the 80’s, comes from several middle eastern areas, and is of pure lineage. Meaning that unlike what we find today, where farmers are trying to follow sales trends and switching from monocroping to cultivating several cultivars, making the genetics from these sources more likely to be polluted.
For the ability to control the way they crack and catalog them correctly I will be germinating them in paper towels in a Ziploc bag. This will allow me to document tap root length as well as accurately know which seed shell allowed for earlier germinating than others.
The hope from this is of simple yet effective breeding of a pure breed line, with possible hybridization, as well as accurately documenting the cultivation of these absolutely amazing genetics.
We will start our journey in the Chitral Valley, a well renowned area know for it’s cultivars. As this journey will take us a few months. Please be patient, be kind, spread love and positivity, and last but not least, send your light and strength to help light the way and make this a successful endeavor for all.
