Eagles' Nest

Thank you! I am enjoying this round with no nutes added before planting. Much prettier plants if a bit slower…I’m not sure I see any issue with growth speed anyway though. Comparable, IIRC.

I do better with seedlings not using nutes right away.

I’ve heard great things about Gelato. Have you grown it before, Eagle?

One fem plant in my first grow, it was so funky and absurd smelling and tasting. It was my first jar to go empty.

Hey Eagles! The Purple Kush finally cracked open! That’s six for six. You were right bro. I kept giving it time. That thing was soaked 2 days, in paper towels for 3, back in water 2 more and just now I see a healthy tap!

Nice! Glad to hear it! Could be a dud like my slow skywalker looks to be or she could surprise and be great. Either way can’t ask for a better start.

The plot thickens. I was feeding and taking pictures of my ~5 week flowering girls. All three have been pollinated. Big hardish green fockers. They obviously didn’t get pollinated yesterday. I checked everybody real good. Nothing suspect other than the seeds themselves. I gotta believe godberry is behind this. Timeline makes sense as well as she’s my only plant ever to grow bananas.

Godberry lives on. I’m kinda pissed at what got pollinated more than something got pollinated. The skywalker and black widow have not blown me away. The banner on the other hand…is a nice fkn plant. Really stoked to see what God Banner brings…Berry Bruce? We will get that worked out. That could be some seriously dank shit cooking up right now. I get it will come with hermi risk.

If I want viable seeds out of the banner when do I chop it? As I normally would? Earlier, later?

Also, what is the necessity of a deep clean right now? Damage done to the current crop. Next ones to get flowered maybe 6 weeks out. So ten weeks between deployment and time of concern. Should be all good right?

I normally clean my tent between grows. I usually get some bleach and thin it down. I normally do it in a large spray bottle. About an eighth to a quarter full with bleach fill with water. I mist EVERYTHING down with that. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and wipe. That will take care of pretty much any bugs that may be hanging around. Then I spray plain water and wipe down again. Should be good to go after that. Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

My tent would give you a stroke :yum:. I probably have leaves in the corner from 7-8 months ago. My main concern is some hands on experience as to pollen viability some 10 weeks later. From what I remember reading should be a non-issue.

The later the better if you have time, the recommended is wait until the plant dies in the pot and they start to fall out of the outside buds

Perfect, thank you. That’s what I needed to know. That’s gonna be rough to make work but at least I have a goal.

Alternatively, would curing whole branches give the seeds time to do their thing if I can’t / don’t want to wait.

I thought you meant, should you do a deep clean or would it be good to LITFA. My bad, I’ll shut up now!

That is what I meant! I just am being honest. I’m not tidy or clean. If the pollen may still be viable I will clean the shit out of everything. If it’s definitely not gonna be viable ten weeks later than I could care less.

No need to shut up I could use more positive influence :yum:

If you need a positive influence check out Mr Sparkles grow, My grow room is like a waste dump compared to his.

Yes thats what most people do, saves space.

LOL All our grow rooms are waste dumps compared to his!
His grow room looks like it is on the ISS… He sure sets the bar high…

That came out of pineapple express. Godberry got everybody with them bananas. So if these seeds don’t end up all being hermi nightmares…I’m pretty freaking stoked about this. I love everything about this godberry I’m smoking on…except the bananas.

Edit: on the plus side…Ive been racking my damn brain trying to figure out why these plants were foxtailing and almost…stalling under good conditions. Seems logical the plant would stall knowing it’s seeds aren’t ready. Doing some reading seems to confirm this thought. So I’ll let them screw around til they are good and ready.

The only time I get fox tailing, if it’s not a trait of the pheno, is if I move my light closer to the canopy, in the later stages.

I think it confuses or stresses the plants as light intensity should be dropping off not becoming more intense. This is pure conjecture on what I see happening

Makes sense. Lol at these damn plants lashing out in confusion. My temps and canopy situation are in good order. So I think we can add stalling to make seeds to the foxtailing reasons list.

So let’s say my little white widow clone spits out a hard green seed. Can I stick it in anything and leave it to mature. Or is the plant essential in that process?
