No real plan just I have the seeds. If they sprout I’ll come up with a plan.
I have mostly red oak, black birch, soft maple.

Just to see if you can I like it! Have you ever found any chaga on the black birch?
Know anyone who has found edible cooking mushrooms in the area yet ?

I don’t really know any mushroom foragers.
I didn’t realize chaga grew on black birch. Does it grow on oak?
I’m trying to expand my plant experience.

I don’t know about mushrooms. Dandelion greens are great! Nice cheap bitter greens.
My friend has a buddy who hunts morel hunting. I can see if I can get some info.
I remember looking for local groups that are into mushroom foraging, they are in most areas from what I saw.
The farm I’m on does oyster, lion mane, and shiitake.

Yeah man Thad be great just see if the conditions are right! …I would like to try my hand at growing a colony of them somewhere on the property
That’s awesome! .fresh mushrooms some groups but haven’t dug to deep then I would have to spend time on the fbook :face_vomiting:lol

The oysters are done in bags of straw. He got spawn and inoculated some grain.
Chopped up straw and sanitize it than add inoculation. You can see if it was clean or not by the color in the bag. Bright white is a successful job. Green or other colors mean contamination. Sometimes the oysters can outdo the contamination, sometimes no

Shiitake and lions mane he would order blocks to fruit
