Morning/afternoon all. Snips are out for delivery. Fingers crossed they’re good to go. Get those sorted and then wait for some kids to come by for treats.

Good morning @PatHealy
:crossed_fingers: for the snips.

I have not had a trick or treater in 5 years. I end up eating all the candy myself :yum::rofl::rofl:

I’m not expecting many. I think we were supposed to put our name on a list and get some yard ornament deal to put out to indicate it’s okay to come to the door. How lame is that?? I have a good deal of candy though. Made sure to get all stuff I liked this year. No gummies or sour stuff. Haha. I got organic strawberry and chocolate milk boxes too.

I’d be over if I was closer :yum::yum:

A list!! What no more knocking on strangers doors asking for candy! Kids these days will never know :rofl:

Nice selection. I’ll probably go pick some up, you know just in case

I thought the universally accepted indicator for having candy was turning your porch light on Halloween evening and night. Now we need plastic pumpkins on stakes at the end of a driveway. Weird stuff. Haha.

That’s what I thought also

PM me your address bro! In one picture you have my three favorite candies! I’ll take a road trip for that!

When I was a kid I hated those people that handed out those cheap hard candies. I would have changed costume three times to hit your place until you recognized me!!!

Hahaha I did most of my trick or treating on a little barrier island beach town in Florida and that was mostly all older retired people back in the day. Halloween was nothing but hard candies, caramels, apples, and little bags of hard candy/candy corn/and some change along with a little religious note. Haha

Do you remember when it all changed @PatHealy ? I mean, when every piece of candy had to be inspected for razor blades, glass…
Even on military bases it was a thing. The hospital opened up the x-ray machines to check bags of candy!
That put an end to home made treats (candied apples, home made fudge bars…) being given out.

Now I wouldn’t take my grandchildren to any house that I didn’t know the people very well indeed.
Crazy ass people might be putting Fentanyl or some shit in the candy now days.

I give these out too.

I wouldn’t be sharing my drugs!!

To my knowledge nothing has ever been found in candy ever. I think that candy inspection by parents was just an excuse to take a tax on the choice goodies from their kiddos with the facade of caring about their wellbeing. :joy:

I see @Indicana_Jones and @MoBilly are also not sharing :grin::grin:

I was talking to my wife while we lay here watching TV in bed eating this Halloween candy that next year we sould turn Halloween on it’s head. We are gonna throw toilet paper at the trick or treaters from the upstairs window until they leave candy on our porch! :joy:
