Eskobar Repros by Zanzibar and Santero, plus San Fune: A Semi-Balcony Grow

Stocky and short Raspberry Haze. This one will benefit the most from the repotting. I have a special attraction to her scent. Smells of Parcha (Passion Fruit) when you rub the stem and caress the whole plant. I kid you not.

Other angle of the stocky one.

Passionfruit has a lot of the same terpenes as cannabis. Nice plants, by the way.

Well folks. It has been a little over a month since I last updated the thread. From top to bottom and from left to right, we have got the stocky Raspberry Haze, the Raspberry Truffle, the SanFune, the taller Raspberry Haze, then the most affected of the bunch, the Raspberry Haze C, and then a bonus SanFune x Blue Tangie Bean cross I made last season.

These plants are hardy indeed. They overcame a drought while I left for two whole weeks for vacation. They battled the bugs, then the fungus after the heavy rain suddenly started to drop after months of almost no rain and they are happy right now. I have lolli popped some of them to improve air circulation and the light in the balcony reaching their height, depending on the angle of the sun, and I have also done some light pruning.

Can´t wait till september to see them truly explode.

Beautiful plants. How was the Ras Hz “affected”?

Hi Zanzibar! Nice to see you chime in. Basically, drought and heat. I left them for a a week at two different times I went on vacation with my wife. It was my favorite, so instead of leaving it on that part of the balcony with more shade I left it on the most exposed part to the sun. It bounced back with a lot of strength, but its growth was indeed affected. Still, it will yield a decent amount and, if the scents are a sign, she will gift me with very good flowers.

the branching on those RasHz looks like in the chocolate rain
let’s see what flavours develop for you. these plants are terp-queens.

That is awesome to read Santero. I am window shopping in the internet for a good 250 watts LED light to give the plants a boost of light during the flowering phase, specially since where I live autumn seems to arrive early and with greyish or rainy days. Hopefully, they like the full SUN plus LED combo :grinning:

Hola amigos!

I hope you are all doing fine and that your grows are coming along nicely. Mine is definately going well despite the setbacks suffered during the summer as a result of drought and the heat waves that we have had. Despite this and minor issues regarding feeding the plants, I think I will get some really good cannabis from these plants.

So, the Raspberry Hazes are bursting with flowers. I think they will be done in late october for the fastest two and early november for the squatty looking one which turned out to be an 11 weeker. All smell and look amazing. My camera does not do them justice. The fastest one has the classic straight raspberry aroma with a subtle cherry after taste, like raspberries on a bed of soft cherry marmalade. The one that follows has a very rich Passion Fruit smell on a bed of raspberries, while the longer flowering one has a distinctly grapefruity/acrid fruit/armpit smell on the same bed of raspberries.

On a terpene level these plants are intoxicating. The aromas and smells are all very unique, sort of like the paradigm for terpenes of an almost lost era of better and more complexity in this department. No gas, only fruit and citric, with hints of candy, and fermented fruits. Very rich. Bag Appeal is up there, most definately. There isn´t anything to envy from more modern and more fashionable polyhybrids.

The Rasberry Truffle began to flower in mid september. I treated this one better than the rest because it naturally grew stronger so I transplanted her twice and as a result she has gotten big and will yield heavily. The second transplant using premium soild with amendments for micronutrients and plenty of worm castings benefited her A LOT and this will be seen in the end result when we compare her to ther other three cousins (The Raspberry Hazes).

The SanFune is also doing great. I transplanted it twice as well because it was begging me for it. I used the same amended soil with an extra of worm castings. It started flowering late august and exploded like two weeks ago. Her smells are INCREDIBLE and UNIQUE. I have honestly never had a plant with so many layers of complexity. First, you get an unmistakable scent of both chocolate and cheese. Very loud. That chocolate cheese smell then turns into a lemony and cheesy citric funk. If it were a dessert it would start with a layer of chocolate that when opened revelead a cheesy and citric odor that emits a slight fume of cheese cream. Delicious.

I don´t have to reach the end of this grow to know that I will do a massive grow of all of these strains with a proper built soil and inside a grow tent instead of outside in a blacony. I am very happy.

It has been a while since I have harvested these plants and boy am I glad that I have bought a second and third pack for all of these varieties. While it may not have been my best grow, I feel that I got a really good impression from these genetics and am very happy with the effects I am getting out of all of them.

San Fune

The high is simply lovely. While it is true that the pheno that I got was a chocolate cheese skunky type, which in my experience tends to have a short buzz, this plant’s flowers simply place you right where you need to be. It enhances the way you feel about your current situation and opens you up to enjoying the little details of life. I needed a full gram joint to get to where I needed, but the high I got was a very very happy high. Sudeenly, daily house chores turned into something interesting and fun and my wife’s silly jokes, which are very bad indee haha she usually enjoys puns and cheap jokes and I never laugh, she knows I either pretend or give her the side-stare, but with this pheno of the Fume I honestly do enjoy her jokes, cleaning the kitchen after making a huge mess kneading kilos of pizza dough, and getting on with things. It lifts the mood and definately makes you feel rested, almost as if the body was massaged, while being very active upstairs but far from being under any psychoactivity related-stress, but more like a dreamy high. Toke more than that and you´ll go to sleep with a big smile on your face after a lot of good times and laughter, specially if you smoke it in the late evening.

Most of all, I enjoyed her terpenes. Tropi Fume indeed! I will repeat and do her more justice.

Rhaspberry Haze

  • Raspberry- Grapefruit: Longest Flowering pheno

I get funky with it. It is very uplifting and it gets you in the mood to be playful, closer to people, even affectionate towards people, and if you like to dance, you WILL dance. The kind of cannabis that has you singing to the songs over the commercials and that fills you with big expectations of what is ahead to come. You almost feel glad you decided not to give up on life because, suddenly, you feel full of energy and filled with what it takes to tackle life.

  • The Raspberry Syrup pheno:

This is the only phenotype with a slightly sedative effect peeking its nose at the otherwise dreamy high. There is no heavyness, only full relaxation, while having a powerful psycoactive effect. Perfect for long saturdays lounging about the house while intermitently active on the kitchen and the house in general.

  • Raspberry-Cherry pheno: Shorter flowering pheno

This phenotype is done after 9 weeks of flowering. You could say that it is my favorite out of the three in terms of the loudness of the terpenes. It is just great. The high is the cleanest and without less ceiling, but it is also simpler than the longer flowering phenotype- aka the raspberry-cherry haze- in terms of how far you can get away from earthly centered thoughts. This one keeps you grounded. You can even use it to think in creative ways to optimize things in life, like daily chores, and I actually use it to work. It keeps me motivated and focused. I listen to Palace, specifically Have Faith, and I truly just focus on the essential and let go many things that bother me, small and insgnificant things like my football club being on a bad streak, and am able to enjoy life as it is. It helps me accept the present. I would imagine this has therapeutic effects for people with neurodivergent conditions.

On the next post: Raspberry Truffle last grow pics, some decent bud porn, and a smoke report as well. This was the lady just before the chop:

I thank all of you for following this thread. It was not an easy grow due to many instances in which I went on vacation and this resulted in some setbacks. I changed soil twice, which is usually not good for the ph of plants, and I also had the limits imposed by the Semi-Balcony grow. Overall, I am very happy and I only regret not being more dedicated. I promise to do them better next time and THERE WILL BE a next time for these ladies. I am hooked on this weed and to be honest it blows the Amnesia Haze that we get in cannabis asociations here in Spain completely out of the water.

Special thanks to @santero and @Zanzibar for bringing these genes to the community. Terpene wise and effect wise, there IS NOTHING like this on the market.

Great San Fune smoke report @cannabrainer !
“ The high is simply lovely. ……… It enhances the way you feel about your current situation and opens you up to enjoying the little details of life.”

Sounds like my type of herb!
The kind of herb that dispensaries never have, and must be grown ourselves to experience.

FYI there are a few packs of SanFune 2022 available at GLG in the US.

My seeds were great Santero. It was a pity I got only one female out of the four SanFune beans I sprouted. I am sure that if I had two more females I would not have posted today  I honestly started typing this latest post several times and then something happened and I was too high or in wonderland to complete the whole thing hahaha
