EsRgood4u multiple grow journals thread

I’ve made my decision on my new light mate. Gonna buy a lumii black 720w.

  • Full Spectrum LED
  • Light Output PPF – 1870µmol/s
  • Efficacy – 2.62µmol/J
  • AC Input Power – Variable – Ballast Settings 250W, 400W, 600W, 600W Boost
  • AV Input Voltage – 130-160V
  • AC Input Frequency – 40–100 kHz
  • Lifetime – L90 >50,000Hr
  • IP Rating – IP65
  • Weight (LED fixture only) – 7.8kg
  • Overall Size (in use) – 110cm x 108cm x 5cm
Using the boost it gives 720w. I’ll likely use that last 2 weeks of bloom.

Looks like a good LED. You need 720W?

No bro but it’s nice to have the choice to boost it to 720w if I want. That light runs off a hps digital ballast so your dimming options are limited to the ballast itself. 250w, 400w, 600w and 720 with the boost. The power ratings seem efficient. I could probably not need to go higher than 400w in a 4x4 but the extra power is there if I need it.

Sounds like the right LED for you. You can probably bloom at the 400W just fine.

That’s what I was thinking. Last few weeks if I pay the electric in advance I have the choice to boost it to full power.

@Foreigner got a new LED. Spreads like 1500.00 escort.

Looks like a nice light. Is it strange that it runs off an HPS ballast? Never seen that before.

I went with less, more efficient power (hopefully) but that was my move.

It will be nice to see what that 250W with the spread does. :100:

There’s a few companies doing it now. Saves the price of the driver I’m thinking. That 720w with new ballast is £350

I was running 300w at 1.7 and this is 240w at 2.4

But the spread is impressive. No hotspots.

That is a good price for a 720W.

As I say a few companies are doing the same. The lumii is the most efficient though.

I was extremely tempted by the migro lights until I seen the 20% added to the uk price.

I have an Electronic ‘Ballast’ that came with my led light.
I can use the Ballast to dim to 40% / 50%/60%/80% and 100% or use the controller to dim all the way from zero to full.

That’s a great price for the 720 W - AND you can dim it, so you can save some electricity if you put it just above your canopy and dim it.

Good luck with your new light.

I’ll be putting the order in tomorrow. I’ve saved a few quid so a new 4x4 may be on the cards also although nothing wrong with my old one.

If you check the links to the “other” companies that sell the lights that work with a digital ballast they all seem to supply the lumii ballast with their lights although they say you can use any ballast I think it’s the lumii that gives the full 720w.
Meh it’s a cheap light and mines getting old. That’s enough for me.

Nothing wrong with your SolStrips is there .?

I STILL use mine as veg/Auto lighting and they’re still pretty good.

You should still keep the SolStrips ,maybe just for vegging/clones et al. ?!

I like the light you chose.
Cheap and efficient … :ok_hand: !

Solstrips are working fine. Just yield and quality has dropped. It’s likely the dodgy geordie wiring. The solstrips are around 5 years old now. I know if it’s not broke don’t fix it but in thinking while I’ve got the cash available buy a new light. If I don’t I’ll likely sniff it.
