Doh, I was thinking it was 1 cup of some sort of magical solution you were adding…
Guess I better hit the pipe again…
Ermmm nop… Now go my son ,hit that pipe!
Holland and Barrett should have the stuff you need or else healthy or organic section in Tesco’s or any big food chain I guess
Cheers, I have malted barley what is malted barley extract, can I just use the malted barley liquidized?
Is this for every 5 liters or does it get added to more water, I use about 5 gals every time I water?
@curiouscat I’ll likely not run out and buy it but I appreciate the share and I shall give it a good go as I’ve been thinking of getting that no added sulphur grandmas stuff as it’s meant to help during flower so wouldn’t see why the rest would do any harm
What’s the Epsom per litre ratio bro?
And here are the plants right now looking a lot healthier especially my starving stardawg plant
She’s getting nice an frosty, never been so giddy over stardawg is my life but so far I’d say she’s looking the best out of my original lineup. Obviously the chemdawg is bigger and a couple weeks into flower ahead so.
I use a teaspoon per gal so 1/4 teaspoon.
The above quantities are for a 5 ltr bottle of water so Epsom ->1 teaspoon . I guess you can increase, that’s up to you.
Just follow the process I described. Just dissolve everything in the cup before you add the ingredients to the bigger container.
I make 5 ltrs at time for my lady’s plants, no not weed there are other plants that appreciate this concoction and love it. the cacti have grown and flowered like never before… and all the other in general.
Half teaspoon per USA gallon is @ReikoX recommendations mate so I’d go 3/4 teaspoon per UK gallon although if your adding it to your normal nutrients then the quarter teaspoon per gallon @Shadey states will likely be enough
Don’t skimp on any of the ingredients man, seriously the molasses might even be more important than the epsom, see it has lots of salts minerals and vitamins that are good for the plant and the bacteria. The plant needs sugar in this stage of life.
The molasses is more to feed the microbes mate. Coco is inert so there is nothing to feed on the molasses. I don’t know how well/much the plant itself will use it
Haha I’m not a skimper so I’ll not skip any steps don’t worry and aye @Esrgood4u I’ll be adding with usual feeds which is 5L a time anyway so I’ll go with adding the quarter teaspoon and love to you @Shadey you was also on it what’s your take on the coco and molasses tho shades curious to what you say. Anybody else feel free to give opinion as well like just if it’s not gunna work overly well for coco it’ll prolly be a waste of money and I spunk plenty up the wall as it is.
I’m sure someone will come along and explain the importance of the molasses, but it has sulphur in it, b vitamins, iron, sugar and lots.more. its the “waste” product of sugar production but nutritional.
Molasses is full of micronutrients. The plant doesn’t really need the sugar in it, as it makes sugar from sunlight through photosynthesis. The microbes will benefit from the sugars, and I love using it for teas and ferments.
In coco there will not be much bacteria, but there will be some, I believe the plants uptake complex carbs in soil mostly when young, and don’t have a lot of leaves to produce there own sugars in large quantities, but once they are in flower its mostly just bacteria using the sugars up until half way through then the fungal s take over and they like it as well but do not need as much.
Oh well, I always heard that molasses gives a sweet taste to your smoke, so either soil of coco it finishes arriving to the buds, or not?
Was hoping you came along and save me my sorry ass, my memory plays tricks on me I always think of the micorriza that need the sugars from the plant…
And the smell of the concoction is actually really nice. I like the smell.
Well some bad news I was checking out the plants today and caught onto some bud rot on the chemdawg so rather than risking running into more problems I’ve cut her down. Think the buds will be ok for daytime smoke the triches are all clear and well pronounced so fingers crossed it cures nice
The only infected nug off the entire plant.
Was more lowers but proper popcorns so just left them on the plant for now because I couldn’t be arsed trimming the tiny fuckers pretty gutted about her as she was really coming on but it is what it is.
The only bonus out of removing that plant is I will now be able to fit my tower fan nicely in place of that 6th pot so my airflow should be bang on.
Sorry to hear about the bud rot, at least it was only the one!!
I think proper air flow is the most important part of environment. It pretty much controls everything.
So glad to see you found a silver lining
