F2 blue tara - first try

What’s up with that muffin fan in the back?

First I thought it was a clever, low profile, circulation fan but then I saw that it was attached to some serious looking heatsink in the earlier shot.

Cheers

Peltier cooler. Turned out to be needed with the 3rd light.

Amazing what a difference 40% RH vs <20% makes :joy:

Moved from 18/6 to 14/10 probably start 12/12 next week. Trying to find some new dwc tubs that’ll fit.

BT is rear right, packing on massive leaves. Roots may be in nutes tonight - we’re almost there yesterday. Yesterday was day 1 of 12/12.

Still only the smallest is BT.

Hoping to start seeing sex soon.

Best looker in the tent, always a boy…

That’s the 2 big agentk/kcup gone now. Biggest rehomed as it hit the lights in initial stretch.

Left is kcup, middle Blue tara, I’m pretty sure a boy, but waiting a few more days to be sure. Right is soloberry 3 now in a 4" grodan cube (test growing method, yes I need to rework that lid)

More BT to pop soon if this is a male.

I have some blue taras going now also. Some of my phenos are very short and stocky but there were a few that grew into the lights that I had to cut the main stem down. I imagine they’ll stretch more when I put them into flower. Lots of variation it seems on this one.

That was the first BT flowering… He’s gone.

This is BT red currently in flowering cabinet.

BT white probably going into flower next week.

Red white based on plant tag color in the cube.

AgentK is coming along nicely.

BT red getting big, still no sex showing.

BT white - really need to get into flowering cabinet soon.

BT seedlings. Left has been up 3 days, right showed up this morning.

BT white turned out to be male.

BT red showing pistils, still pilling on new growth daily.

And kcup/agentk should be finishing up for Christmas. Driving me a bit nuts - has a super fine line between yellowing leaves and nute burn, seems to prefer a lower pH than usual 5.5-5.8 (yes double checked with non cheapo meters)

@Hephaestus me likes your experiments. U can use mycorrhizae/H2O2/hypo, it helps avoid filth.

Big BT packing on size.

Harvested kcup, now in goes another BT, slight rejig better fitting rez, (had to add the temp small rez as the new plant won’t be happy with bloom strength yet)

And the big BT just keeps rocking along!

bad things happened, still trying to wrap my head around it, water got scummy overnight and started getting massive clawing. started with one branch then got all of them.

did a res change, upped the chlorine, added a bunch of h2o2. halfed the ferts, switched to only a single morning feed - seems like we’re seeing recovery on at least one branch now.

monitor your water temps. (if you water was scummy). Are your roots also gunky?

H202 has to be added after 3 days throughout the entire grow.

few roots that were at the edge were not white. not about to break up the cube to dig deeper.

max temp in the resevoir has been 75f - so not extreme by any means.

I’ve just been running chlorine, but I see that I’m running a bit on the lower end of the recommended range -2.5ml/gal – going to bump that up and rather than a day 4 topoff just swap the res on day 4.

the joys of learning new systems

3/6 branches looking better tonight.

and this one’s sitting in veg cabinet possibly waiting to replace if bad things aren’t resolved.

BT red still hanging on - still actively growing on the buds. She’s been in the flower cabinet for 49 days so far.

BT that replaced kcup, is showing a few pistils - so we’ve got a girl! Yay!

The reserve from the veg cabinet has been moved out to the flower. It’s seemingly a bit more what I expected I’d find in BT. See what comes of this one
