@Corey, OG, thanks for this one, too! You grew some lovely plants, and really did a great service documenting in grow.
Kudos @Upstate for helping with the insight to call the flip.

congrats @corey! Happy to see a successful harvest! If you smoke some of the leftover buds let us know what its like!
I’ve always heard that hollow stems are generally considered to be indicative of “drug” cannabis. Those are strains haven’t been crossed with cannabis grown for fiber.
Good job @corey
This is most likely the truth, because hollow stems would suck for fiber production!
@MrWizard
Being predominantly African does this mean the possibility for high levels of thc-v?? I’m wondering
High, probably not. Significant, possible.
Thanks for all the interest and kind words everyone! Im not sure about thcv but I bet a 100 that these seeds will grow some real
I’ll keep updating as we end this grow. Can you believe this was accomplished in under 2 months?? There are some brilliant people on here!! @Upstate @Guitarzan @ReikoX…
With a little direction anybody can do this. If you attempt to grow a landrace start off on a 12/12 light cycle first week after germ then 10 on 14 off. Tapering down a few more hours last few weeks would help plants like this finish fast as well. Thanks!
This next plant that I’m starting on is the tallest out of the 4 females. Smells fresh, sweet, earthy.
First pic is the top and zoom in on the bottom pic to see all the trichomes on the seed pods. That’s why my hands are so sticky. It helps to have a bowl of water to dip your fingers in. It keeps the shucking going smoothly. Unless your drinking a beer the n you can use the condensation off the can…
Looks delicious! Takes a long time but if you use a toothpick to poke seeds out of their sheathing, you can make some good hash
That’s a good idea. I’ll make some oil so I can do a smoke report.
This is what the seeds look like off the second plant that I’m working on. Very uniform. A good 95% success rate on this one.
I just finish the first 2 plants. I’ll shuck the middle plant in the morning. That one has the sweetest jam odor I have ever smelled from a plant. And the last one in the back left corner might take another week. It was the slowest flowering plant out of the bunch… This is what we got off the first two plants.
Very cool @corey , great job.
Stellar @Corey!
Tell me - Are you keeping a batch from each plant labelled and set aside individually?
I ask because I wish I had when I did an Open Pollination Run of Stitch’s original Russian Rocket Fuel (Short Stuff Stock) back when.
Looks like a good amount of seeds. Well done.
Thanks bud! @ciganomarola lol. @BasementBeans I appreciate it. It’s definitely a labor of love!
I take it that’s a no.
I figured it impractical.
Not impractical. It’s a good idea if your breeding phenos, or want original seed to do a back cross with…
My point exactly.
I guess the project cited might seem like something to chuckle at… wasn’t then though. Possibly one of the best moves I made (grow wise) back then. Leave obviously not setting aside & labelling some of the seedstock by individual recipients for future reference/ use.
@corey this has been really informative to watch this seed run unfold. Lots of info, as well as your links to other resources have really been immensely helpful to me as I navigate cultivation, and look towards seed runs and seeing knowledge in action. The descriptions are great, and the pictures helpful.
