Fem Autoflower breeding project by azseaindooin420

Not to shabby! Give it time and ur gonna wanna go bigger! I was using a 12 x 16 before the move, now it’s going to be 12 x 32 when I actually finish the dang thing. To many damn bills this year so using it as protection from rodents and wind and aside from that no top outdoor this year for the season, I’ll finish it by next year after some fat Vegas checks

Got it finished up and got the girls in it got air blowing through but still super hot in there what sis ya do with yours when over heating

You have to find a way to vent. Cool air in and hot air out. Some will have sides that can roll up. Others have intake and exhaust fans.

Ya I had a swamp cooler on bottom back of mine and a panel left out in the front top, forces the air up and out

What is this swamp cooler @AzSeaindooin420 got a link or pic of one it’s only going to get hotter over next couple months

Something like this.

Jk this is

This is basically what I use in the greenhouse

Just need a small water line and power

Pretty sweet. How much does one of those bad boys run you?

Can usually snag em in a local market for a hundred or two or less

I paid 75 for mine turn key and put a new water pump and motor in it for piece of mind using my old landlords warranties on the swamp cooler on the previous property haha

Main things to make sure works is good bearings on the wheel, good motor and if ur lucky a good water pump

Pads are 7 bucks each
Motor is 119.99 at Lowe’s
Water pump is about 50

That’s the main stuff, others is water channel spiders($15), water valve for water intake($10-15), bearings($40), screen bags for water pump( few bucks), power junction for switched units($60)( I just plug pump and motor directly into timers) and motor bracket clips($5)

Really not much to em so they are easier to keep maintained without slamming the wallet, the motor is the hardest punch but usually get good warranties out of em that u will almost 100% for sure have to swap it so save that reciept

But the concept is sides are Aspen pads, big squirrel wheel and a motor to run it and a water pump that keeps the pads on the sides soaked.

They are nicknamed a desert cooler cuz it works best in dry climates since dry air passed through the moisture, picks up some of it up and the lower temp of the water and forced air creates cooling

In the case of the greenhouses it isn’t necessarily to “cool” persay as I’ve run mine many times without the water pump on but rather the forced air element shoving the hot greenhouse gases out and forcing in cool fresh outside air while maintaining a sealed greenhouse

Those are pretty cool looking I wonder how well one would work in my hot and humid climate I have never seen anything like it in my kneck of the woods if you guys want so.e more pics of what I’m working with ya can check me out at 3rdgengrower greenhouse grow photos & autos

Not as effective/cooling the more humidity there is I believe.

Ya def gonna lose cooling loss the higher the humidity goes up but the forced air would still shove the built up greenhouse heat right out of there so it would still have a positive effect in that aspect, once you get to about 70-80% humidity then it’s just a forced air fan

Put a fan ontop of a 5 gallon bucket full of ice and water. You can also dip a towel in the cold water and put it in front of the fan. Something to collect the cold ait and push it to one direction would help also like a curved hood.

Many people did this in the mojave desert.

I’m in Mohave county az lol

Unless u got an industrial ice machine thats to much work and to costly.

Deserts we use swamp “desert” coolers

this is what people called swamp coolers in vegas when i lived there.

Yup, same climate but I’m in the mountains about an hour away

So same reason I wouldn’t recommend a portable swamp cooler is it packs to much humidity and recirculates the same air. Those plants thrive on that fresh air forcing in and shoving greenhouse “exhaust” out of the structure. That’s gonna benefit a greenhouse grow more than cooling and stirring the ambient air. That hot greenhouse air needs to get shoved out!
Plants can handle the heat, roots cannot. Last year with power outages in the summer my greenhouse got up to 160 but I watered and kept the roots cool and they survived, they weren’t happy though, but they hung in there. If the root zone gets in excess of about 100-110 is where u risk serious damage to your plants

They use swamp coolers when I lived in New Orleans. The heat was high from humidity but the air pushing through still feels like a slightly cooler breeze and keeps air moving. That was in warehouses so they do help
