FieldEffect's Attempt to Grow Indoors

Awesome glad you like it :sunglasses:

Pretty sure we can make something great for this

I 100% agree. It’s one of the many things I absolutely hate about PH meters

how long before you start work on the aerocloner?

LOL. Thinking about it. We’re about 3 weeks now and hope is dwindling. It’s an experiment now. I don’t think I’ll be giving up until there isn’t any green left.

Lots of work the last two days, between scrubbing everything out and exchanging reservoir contents, little haircuts, I think we’re set for another week.

Reservoir Contents:
Veg: 9mL Canna Aqua Vega A and B, 1mL HOCl per gallon. Water 1L filtered + balance RO. Mix by the gallon, about 1.75 gallons total. pH 5.75 no adjustment ~1.4ms

Flower: 110mL Canna Aqua Flores A and B. 0.75mL GG monosilicic, 10mL HOCl. 1 gallon filtered + 7.5 gallons RO. pH 5.75 no adjustment ~1.8ms initial

I think next res change I’m going to drop the initial EC down to ~1.4 on the flower side. I think this 2-week interval is working well. It’s pretty easy to identify when it’s near time to change as the pH stability decreases and the EC drops. I’m not going to say I’m “getting the hang of this” because the minute I think that it’ll all shit the bed and I’ll witness yet another “encrispening.” But I’m definately getting more comfortable. I can guess the pH by some combination of plant attitude and habit, subconciously. I couldn’t explain it but the guesses are getting accurate.

Here’s the mommas:

Here’s the tent before I got to business this morning, fan already removed but remembered to take a before pic.

The 907 Blue Genes x NL#1 crosses (@Klyphman):

The 907 Blue Genes x Shiskeberry #3 crosses:

The Runtz x Sour Bubble crosses (@Fuel):

They are starting to stink. I close the door, open the window and crank the exhaust to max when I’m working in the tent now.

N4 is still my favorite. Reeks of blueberry with some skunkiness in the background. This one plant makes me very happy I’m growing out all these plants. Just this one. I could throw all the others away if I got to keep this one. I just feel she’s my winner. Taking care to not let this influence my treatment of her, she’s getting trimmed and abused like any of the others. This flower run is only the first test of many. Day 30 Flower

N3 is my current runner up much skunkier/pine maybe some cedar than N4 but beautiful plant and structure for this SOG gig. More of a hint of sweet fruitiness with predominant “classic” weed terps.

S1 is my third favorite. Smell not too strong yet but vigorous, stout and compact plant. Musky sweetness. Forgot to get a picture of her alone.

The Solo Cup challenge contenders are mostly funky. Maybe I’m stressing them the fuck out, I dunno. They’re just along for the ride.

Can’t help but feel like the #1 STUNTER of plants :joy:

Can’t stunt like me  Anyway, we’ll see how they do.

With all those ladies stuffed back in the tent I can go about my day:

Hope all your gardens are flourishing, have a great weekend!

Appreciate always the guidance here that’s prevented doom and destruction. Very exciting to see what has happened. To see the differences between sisters of the same parents is fascinating.

Fun pics…because the flower side is blessing me with some great scents and sights…

Spent an hour trimming up the mommas. Gotta make sure I’m going to get some good cuts next month for outdoor. :sunglasses:

Here’s the mommas coming out for a little space, before they get their haircuts. It’s been a learning process keeping these things small and in reasonable health.

Runtz x Sour Bubble Moms:

Trimmed and back in the tent. Of course, I realize as I write this that it would have been better to take photos of each group of plants AFTER trimming. Next time I’ll take a different approach.

I’m going to get to see some interesting things over the next 6 months or so - I’ll see how all these plants grow and flower out, how they smoke after LED/hydro grow. THEN, I’ll get to see how a couple of the same plants do outside, under the sun and with living soil. Can’t wait.

Frosty little ladies you have there.

Hopefully they are good smoke! :crossed_fingers:

They seem to be toning down the excessive “praying”

I’m sorting seeds today. It appears I may have waited a bit too long to get to this…

I think I need more vials and trays. Maybe another pot of coffee. I’m at least a tray behind in this ziplock

Plants/flowers are looking very very good you will be surprised!!
Very powerful light👍
Dont do anything different , dont flush!!! And keep same fertilizer schedule
You can cut the mothers even lower and leave only 2 branches that long ,when she start growing from down there you bent the longer (2) or cut them the same height (this is just to make sure that she survived the hair cut)
That is some serious seed collection
I even saw a name that im really interested in or when you have a male for some pollen:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::wink:
Still in the hospital😞 got some really bad results😥 lets hope for the best🤞

I’ll keep everything on cruise control until the end. No flushing

Let me know I’ll send it :sunglasses:

Best wishes man. Sending my positive energy :sun_with_face:

Thanks buddy! I don’t know why they have such stout trunks but I ain’t arguing with it. Must be something in the water… :upside_down_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Also, I have quite a few new tubes getting seeds in them for safe keeping thanks to you! I remember receiving those cards and the smile on my face seeing the now-characteristic handwriting and Canadian stamp.

@Rhino_buddy one of them is showing a root. Opening up the dome a bit today and will probably get them both into cubes tomorrow and turn up the lights and nutrition just a touch

@m0sirys I’ve been following your small grow too, also looking good!

@NoCal LOL reminds me of NFS when I was a teenager  I’m also all grins when I open the tent. :cowboy_hat_face:

Rehung my light this morning so it can go higher (all the way to the ceiling) for better coverage. Pain in the ass doing that with tall plants in there and cables all bundled together.

We’re getting along. Most just finished 5 weeks of flower, some of the Runtz x Sour Bubbles are a week behind.

Cheers, have a great weekend! Friday :sunglasses:

OK, well some tidying up in the tent today.

Time to get the Romulan cuts into some blocks. 1 of 2 showing roots, it’ll survive.

Into ~1EC block and both put in individual micro-domes. We’ll see if the rootless one makes it but I want to be sure the rooted one gets a chance ASAP to get some real nutrition and light. 200umol PPFD for her.

Took all the plants out of the flower side for pictures (tracking traits) and minor cleanup. Obstructive fan leaves, pinching as necessary on tall shoots, larfy micro buds on lower stems, etc. @tamimes has emboldened me, I’m trying to grow buds on sticks. The weed salad will go in the garden beds this morning along with some buckets of worm castings. It’s almost summer outside.

Anyway, the 907 Blue Genes x NL #1 crosses remain my favorites. The smell is evolving. Less fruit, more burnt rubber afghan. Trich coverage is ridiculous, especially on N4.

I noticed this morning N2 and N4 both share the squashed main stem trait as well as the super WIDE top cola characterisitic. N4 is day 37, N2 is day 30 flower.

The 907 Blue Genes x Shiskeberry #3 are demonstrating a bit sweeter nose. The trichs are quite obviously longer and leggier on these girls. Interesting, it’s pretty obvious when I compare to the NL cross that the trich stalks are taller.

The Runtz x Sour Bubbles are coming along. Smell is much more herbal than the other two crosses. Much leggier structure. Less flowers, wider spaced. The two on the left have been in flower 30 days, the right one 37 days.

The Solo cup challenge plants are coming along. 15 days in flower light cycle. They are sitting on an elevated platform in the flower table but they don’t get the attention the other ladies do.

I spent some time optimizing the reservoirs and fine-tuning to 5.8pH. I’ll change the reservoir next Friday, as I’m leaving to watch the eclipse next Sunday, so they’ll be unattended for a couple days. I’m confident in my fertigation setups this will be fine, I have been mostly monitoring but not modifying the reservoir contents other than topping off. 3 cycles unattended will go just fine.

Here’s a proper mental breakfast. Coffee + Cobb. No time to roll a Cobb blunt, I gotta get my ass outside to ammend beds before the weather gets warm. @MissinBissin thanks for inspiring the cobbs, @lusid there’s my simple coffee routine :sunglasses:

Cheers guys hope the weekend is stellar for you all!
