What kinda car you working on bro?
Fucking Audi smh
Put in all this work then I finally realize the timing is off
You know what’s wrong with it?
Shiiiit. I got rid of my wife’s SAAB because even the Saab mechanic wasn’t hittin on shit. Sucks cuz it was a pretty fun little car.
I do my own work I just wish I didn’t waste money on that battery that would’ve paid for the timing kit
A mechanic I’m thinking would’ve at least save me some money lmao
Been almost a 2 month long guessing game
Ugh. I hate that shit. I should get my wife to google about your car. Lol. She’s really fucking good at diagnosing car problems with the power of google
I pride myself on the ability to search lol… the timing chain was my biggest fear so I fixed everything else that COULD’VE been the problem now I’m pretty sure it’s the timing chain but it’s not broke thank god just loose
Hahaha. I know when that list of possible fuck ups racks up it’s like “c’mon something stupid” “cmon just be a faulty sensor”
Once I finally fixed my maf sensor and re-replaced my fuel pressure sensor and she started misfiring on every cylinder I said oh yea it’s a timing thing been getting a code for camshaft timing over advanced also but theory was an oil change would fix that…nope!
I just feel inclined to make a list of the shit I’ve changed
2 batteries
Alternator
Pcv valve
Purge valve
Fuel filter
2 fuel sensors
High press fuel pump
Relays
Maf sensor
Oil
Spark plugs
Coils
And I still feel like I’m forgetting something
You damn near got a new car homie!
Oh when she’s right she’ll be ready for a trip to New York
Is the check engine light on?
Hah I was just about to tag you in.
It was off before I changed the fuel pressure sensor (which was the wrong one) car started up really fast but started misfiring. I heard the timing chain hitting the case and it cut off at operating temp. I scanned it and got misfires in every cylinder and the timing over advanced code
Mmm which Audi do you have? A lot have a chain in the back of the head and a main on the front.
Got a b7 A4. I have a belt on the front and a chain in the rear. I had peaked inside the front being that that was a little easier that one SEEMS fine
