HI,I Ve decided to grow my own weed,CBD strain Finola here in Italy, south Italy,It Is totally legal…
However,I bought 2 12,5 liter pots and 2 8 liter pots.
So I bought 200 seeds from a hemp store.Planted about 15 and 8 sprouted.Day 7 i decided to translant 3 in one larger pot and the remaining 2 into the other to select later females.(One day ago I planted again 3 and 3 seeds in the 8 liters pots.)Bad choice to transplant since today Is about day 15 and seedlings seems to not grow in height anymore…but new leaves are growing.
The soil I used Is good quality, npk balanced and PH 6.0
Watering with 6,5 drinking water.
During day time I put them out of the Window, later at night insider my room.I mixed coffee ground a bit into soil and sprayed a mixture of coffee grounds and water on the soil.I put only photos of the big 12,5 liter pots.Another weird thing is that when plants are exposed to the sun directly they at night show little purple ish colour in the little new leaves
HELP…
The first thing I would do is get them into their own pots. This is a personal preference but having 3 plants in a pot competing for space is a recipe for disaster. I have seen this go bad many times. Just a thought. I also moved this thread to the Sick Plants and Problems forum. I believe this is the section where you ask for assistance.
Many thanks <3,please share some advice…I planted more because I m not sure they are female, and had no room for other large pots.
Could you put just one in the smaller container.
I would dig them out before the roots get any bigger and put them in 3 to 5 gallon pots. You are bound to get slow growth when putting them into those huge pots. The roots are going to establish themselves by drilling down to the bottom and filling in but it’s a heck of journey in those sacks you have them in.
The problem Is,I don’t know if they Will turn out males and I will have to do all over again. So i thought that It would be smart ti plant three and see when I can distinguish males from females wich One to cut out…Is this the right strategy?
By the time they have established themselves to show sex you likely won’t be able to separate them as the roots will have intertwined. It would be a shame to hurt the roots of a female while taking out a male.
No, you don’t go blind. If you tossed them into even 1 gallon pots you could grow them to the point where they showed sex and it wouldn’t take up any more space than you are already using. Than once they show sex you could always move them to bigger pots if you like.
Ok,actually then,I ll try to transplant back in a smaller pot,and then update you here.Very Thanks <3
By the way when can I see sex?
Usually around a month after germination.
I usually see pre flowers around 6 weeks. Let them fill the 1 gallons with roots, when you transplant they colonize the soil around them instead of just growing down before growing out. When I start in big pots I find very few roots in the top half of the pot, when I transplant I find roots everywhere
I think i Will transplant again those babes into Little pots but I am scared to hurt them more…
Its fine, your in vegetative state still, you might stop them growing for a day or 3, but it will benefit them in the long run.
I ll update tomorrow After transplant into 4,5 liter pots, about one gallon
Just thank you so much, you are being very helpful
Keep posting and asking questions and many of the super knowledable people here will help!
Transplanting ended with three plants into theese 1 gallon and something pots,Little cute One and the others into a bit bigger pots, except for the lady One Who Is in a 12,5 liters pots
Some help now,what to do?
I did a good job?
I put the two Brown pots and One White out of the Window all day long, the remaining in my room in front of the wondow
Should be good. Now let them grow. In about 3-4 weeks they should be ready for bigger pots
