This is awesome! Thank you
That soil has a way of cleansing itself, and you if you play in it. The good colonies defeat the baddies.
Another Doc - Day today and a lot of prepping for the contractor’s crew that are due to show up tomorrow morning to haul out the palms. And tonight’s a B-Day party for my 74 year-old friend who has been making the RSO for me for the last 6 months or so! So may not have time for captions/comments, but I’ll try to upload some pics…
Got a few more of the cages-on-stilts set uP on some of the Sativa’s…
Old Silver Thai male regrowing after heavy pruning…
Mix & match… (That’s it on the captions, I gotta pack uP some party favors and head out the door! Thanks for dropping by!)
These mac-1xAVC lower buds look super juicy!
Looking good as always buddy! The old silver Thai aka OST is from me. Red Thai is from Roms😁
What is that black flower TL? It’s both beautiful and horrifying at the same time!
555! I saw that I had put the ‘caption’ in front of the wrong picture code, but I was runnin’ out the door! I actually wondered if it’d be you or Roms that told me! (He told me last time I did it! )
@Budderton That’s a Giant Black Bat Lilly (Tacca chantrieri). Took me about 10 years to hit on the right media mix to get them to germinate properly! We probably have a few hundred of them growing now in 15" pots. I just noticed that they were starting to flower again as I walked up the driveway today, so snapped some shots. Give them a week or two and there will start to be some pretty spectacular looking ones. There’s another species in white that hails from China…finally got a hold of some a few years back and then found every single one had a virus! Quite spectacular, and even larger the the Blacks. By the way, the Chinese also use the black in Cancer medications,(Wiki: " The compounds are called taccalonolides and have a similar mechanism of action as an existing group of cancer chemotherapy drugs called taxanes. Taxanes and taccalonolides stabilize microtubules, which are cellular structures that function as railroad tracks moving cargo within cells") “Black Bat RSO” anyone?
@dingys Thanks, I think so too! I’m pretty blown away by those lowers - they’re bigger & thicker than most my top colas on other strains! Fortunately, I made seed and @Tuned just ‘tuned’ me uP! She got “One more Day” …again, as it was pretty busy around here today. We got doubly lucky as it rained for 20 minutes this morning and it looks like we got some more while I was on the other end of the island tonight! Also got hit w/the new water/electric bill…A New ALL TIME HIGH"! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaauuuggghhh!
Tomorrow morning’s moving day for 21 of the potted palms. I managed to pull off a David Blane act, making 150+ of the more ‘obvious’ plants ‘disappear’ from view (I hope!). If all goes well, they will reappear in 24 hours when the contractor’s team is gone! Should give me a chance to pull back those giant black groundcloths and inspect for ant colonies before we repopulate the Lemon Grove. Been trying to hold off on transplanting much more until they confirm sex as we’re just going through crazy amounts of LS mix. It sounds like a good idea but I’m worried about falling behind and then finding myself swamped!
Okay, it’s time for bed over here.Have a great one everybody!
Looking good as always @Tlander
Hope you had a positive doctor visit.
Have you tried that bubble yet?
We finally got rain for about 5-6 hours this morning.
It felt like it cooled down by at least 10 degrees and well, It was at 30 and it felt like 20 hahahahaha!
The Mac x AVC look amazing as do the powies!!
well everything does!
Just flipped one Mac x AVC also the freaky Buddha are both girls!! 2-3 more are still coming up but looking good!
I’m so behind I haven’t been able to post on my thread but a big one is coming…
Moving house looks like as well so no rest for the wicked!!!
That Lilly is so cool!!
Talk soon!
Cheers bro!!
Another busy day! Palm crew didn’t finish yesterday, so they were back again today…all day! Amazingly, don’t think anybody was the wiser! They’ll have to come back in a month or two to pull the largest ones, but they’re dug, roots packed w/coco fiber, bagged up and watered in.
Saw this today! This is the guy who started it all by decriminalizing ganja almost 2 years ago! Typical politician I guess!
Meanwhile , in the upper greenhouse…
The caged girls are coming along…
The old Sea of Greenhouse got bleached down last week and I’m gonna use it as a temporary holding room for the three gallons for a while…
I cut back the Old Silver Thai male hard last week…but he just came back thicker than ever! There were just too many branches to keep an eye on with all we have going on so I chopped him back hard again. The females (?) haven’t even thrown a pistil yet.
I missed lunch and I’m starving! Got a nice fat steak all ready to go so excuse me, but that’s it for today’s show! Hope you have a great day!
Well son of a bitch!! Way to cut the legs out from under you! That’s some nasty politicing! I can’t imagine what we’d do if the Canadian government re-nagged on the cannabis laws. We’d all crawl back under our rocks I suppose. Is that effective immediately? You can PM me I you don’t want to talk publicly about it TL.
Hey there, hope all is well - how did the Malana progress for you - curious how long they ended up flowering? Any later pics by chance?
That Red Thai looks spectacular, is that the Red Thai from RSC/Zen house gardens from Isaan area?
DM’ing you bro!
Another Sunday rollin’ past! Here are three of the Colombian Gold x Cobra Lips from @Budderton
And a few more…
Didn’t waste any time getting a batch of @Wizdom 's Faux Mac1 x AVC in and uP! The germination on his is spectacular 15 of 15!..My F2’s are much more hit or miss! Thanks bro!
Got another baker’s dozen into 3 gallon pots. I gotta restart painting more of those pots white, there are still a lot of 1 & 2 gallon airpots that are gonna need to move up soon!
Transplanted 3 of the Sherbangers from @Drsunshinestrains These were the ‘smaller’ ones in 1 gallon airpots, the rest are in 2 gallons and can hang in there a while longer. One half of one pinched plant has reacted very weirdly! But this is “The Home of the Weird” so what’s new?
And getting the chop today… I finally cut the Mac1 x AVC from @Wizdom and what a beauty she was! These are all just the top cola! Most of the lowers on her are bigger than many of my other strains’ top-colas!
w/bic lighter for scale!
I also cut one Powie Pineapple and half of one Durban Venom, the latter two each had a number of buds infested w/mealy bugs! I’d seen some ant activity on the Powie Pineapple but the Durban Venom has been ant-free for weeks…they must have got on the bus early and just hid out all this time. Bummer! As much as I hate the smell, I soaked a bunch of Sadow (Neem) overnight and poured it in & around all the big bag plants.last night. No signs of any ant movements today.
Keeping a close eye on this Zacatecas Tribute, she’s in front of the hurricane fan and hanging in there but with the rains returning and humidity levels soaring it won’t be long. Quite a bit ‘thicker’ buds than I was expecting! Thanks again Bobby!
Well, two more days of being on a skeleton crew so as long as we keep getting nightly showers all should be okay. Last night (Saturday) at 10 minutes to 5 pm I looked up in the upper greenhouse and noticed that the plastic covering had split right at the ridgeline! My big guy was walking past and when I pointed it out he said, “with all the big budded plants in there, we better change it”! I figured it’d take an hour and was surprised he was willing to hang out…15 minutes later we were done!
Okay, last 15 minutes before sunset so time to do last rounds. Have a great weekend!
Bit more sorting, moving and transplanting in the upper greenhouse today. It’s feeling nice in there again…there’s a good mix of all stages of plants in there now. The Old Silver Thai is towering over everything else and one of the Peshawar’s is trying to catch up with it. Had to move them both around to the high point in the room. They’ll both probably have to go outside in the next week. With the rains returning and humidity soaring we’ll probably have to cut a few more this week. I took down a Powie tonight as I saw 2 spots of mold starting this morning which I clipped out, but by 4 pm I found 3 more!
Decided to replace the Mac1 x AVC with one of the Baja Blasts
and the Powie Pineapple got replaced with a Soul Mate.
CH x Blue Kush fillin’ in…
A more ‘delicate’ looking version of Powie Poison…
And this one’s just tryin’ to raise the roof!
Managed to get another 10 of the square pots painted white today. Then had to spend some time cutting up that cracked tree trunk, that’s gonna take a while yet! Okay, time for some food! Hope you all have a good week! Tomorrow’s Doc Day and PO Day!
Hey @Tlander
Finally cooling off up here and looks like you are finally getting some water too!
I hope it helps your water bill out.
Your garden is looking fine so fine as usual.
those sun grown buds look massive!
And that tree ya got in the greenhouse looks to grow 20 feet tall!
It’s huge!!
Looks like the sherbangers are taking a liking to the outdoors, hope you can find one of the sativa leaners in there… a few I have grown out are not to terribly dense so you may well get one like that. Keep an eye for herms, I had one out of about 25 Ive planted but it had a bunch of manners on it… the others are very stable on the other hand. The weird one may grow out of it. I have only just started one that I took some cuts off of that didn’t show any of that and she is in week 3 of flower now.
Nice harvest on the Mac x AVC!! looking fat!
Still sexing one here now. hoping she shows very soon, probably today.
Nice work getting the green house patched up quick, with the rain it a good thing you caught it when ya did.
@BobbyBudz stuff is looking great as well.
Ive got a bunch started and will transplant to bigger cubes today,
by the time I get back from the US they will be ready to flower out and Im very excited about them.
Your greenhouse looks like a museum of diverse strains! Beasts everywhere. hahahaha
Hope you hear some good news from the DOC!
Have a great day sir!
Cheers!
Well, we’re back in the hot & dry again! Still mulching everything heavily w/rice straw which really helps! Speaking of ‘helps’, the 2 coats of white paint on the square 3 gallon pots is a huge win! Honestly, after feeling the soil in the black ones when transplanting to big bags, I’m surprised they were even still alive!
Starting off, here’s a bloomin’ Blood Lilly as they’re called over here.
Here’s a few youngsters for the bean donors Thanks guys! My memory sucks (that’s why I use plastic tags!). We’ll see if I can get it right this time???
@Budderton I’ve got a ‘ready’ male stashed up the driveway, but I think this female in a 15 gallon bag is gonna have to stay put! Hopefully I’ve got a willing female in a 3 gallon pot? Somewhere!
@Oldtimerunderground God, I just LOVE this plant!
@BobbyBudz (ALL of the below, I believe?)
And then a few ‘in-bud’ shots…

Managed to pull all the little brown lunch-bags of drying seeds from the tent today and sorted them at 50 beans each into some tiny glass jars w/good sealing lids. I could probably manage to fit 90 in a jar, but at the start I didn’t know how many jars I’d need. If my housekeeper see this she’s gonna insist I remove the 10-15 jam-packed-full boxes of pucks that are taking up 2/3 of the refrigerator. She seems to think it’s meant to be used for my food!
Forcing myself to slow back down on the transplanting to 15 gallon bags…there’s so much that I’d like to keep moving up but w/the numbers of males declaring the last week or two it seems to be a waste of LS mix to keep doing it. I’ve got a ton of males up the driveway but between the weather and my schedule I just haven’t been up to doing much pollination.
Been happy to see that the majority of the Peshawar Joes from @Upstate that I put in big bags w/cages on stilts in the Palm Grove have declared as females! Think we had 3 in big bags in the upper greenhouse that went male and a few in 1, 2 & 3 gallons. The second big Old Silver Thai, big as she/he is, is starting to look like a male as well. Gonna give it a few more days to fully declare. I chopped the first one down to size 2 weeks ago and had to do it again last week! Yanked another Powie Poison male in a 3 gallon today too. Seeing a little budrot rearing it’s ugly head here and there…gonna have to find a few hours to make another batch of hypoclorious acid in all my spare time!
Okay, well I still have 60 more of those little seed jars to fill so I better get back to it! Happy Hump-Day everybody!
Looking good @Tlander . I could never remember the names of all those different plants and breeders. I dont know if you mentioned it but it would be a good idea to put some dry rice in those seed jars to suck up any humidity. Best of luck to you my friend.
Corey seems to be enjoying life in the tropics!
All your plants look great
Baja Blast especially.
Well, it’s been raining all around us…just not ‘on’ us! But even half a day w/clouds is better than it been.
A few of the youngsters…
These beauties from @Wizdom were 15 out of 15! They’ll run alongside the F2’s I made from his last batch.
Pretty wide mixture of strains in the E&F tables. Not sure if it’s the newly added Silica or some other factor, but (most) everything is just pumping now. Been pinching almost everything and getting great results. A few more males showing but I’m gonna go light on seeding this time around. Have a bunch of males stashed, but have only done a couple pollinations, today was SFV x Baja Blast of which I did about 1/3 of the plant.
And moving uP in size…
Another gift from Bobby, Baja Blast. I’m really liking these as well. She’s in a 15 gallon now so we’ll get a chance to see what she can do! So far ALL of BobbyBudz beans have been fantastic! Spotted a touch of budrot on one of the Powie Wowie’s today, cut it out and moved here farther into the path of the fan.
@Budderton The “A New Hope x Cobra Lips” Since she’s still in a 3 gallon pot, I might dust this one tomorrow if the male is in the mood?
Upper greenhouse… There’s a number of plants here that ‘could’ get harvested already, but I’m playing it day-by-day watching for signs of budrot. The Durban Venom just keep crankin’ out more pistils and the vast majority are still white so holding off.
Spent a few hours cleaning & expanding the Palm Grove area and mulching it down to fit in a few more plants. Moved a couple rather large Raphis Palm clumps into ‘blocking’ positions along the driveway. But I didn’t stop to take any photos there. The old Sea of Green greenhouse has 15x 3-gallon plants ready to go out, but I’m trying to hold off until they declare before transplanting them. Once again I find myself wondering what happened to my plan to run most of them in 3 gallons??? I just can’t help it - it’s only May after all! Trying to ‘fool’ myself by transplanting lots of other nursery stock in the meantime so I don’t fall out of practice! We’re down to chopping the last bits of the shattered tree trunk now, think it’s been about 4-5 truckloads of limbs we’ve hauled out and my foreman has a stack of firewood that’ll last quite a while! I’ve already picked out 30 more Cycads and 30 hybrid palms to move into that area to transplant once we finally get it cleared uP. Hmmmm, occurs to me that I could probably put in a row of ganja behind all of them once they’re all transplanted and laid out.
Okay, still making good progress on the bean re-organization…just keep finding more! God I wish the government wouldn’t change things up!
Hope you all have a great weekend! OGTW!!!
