Crippy/Krippy was a bullshit name like Skunk, Dro, and so on that got slapped on weed to sell it to people who like names and stories. Too many people relaying fourth hand stories from Florida. Now of course it’s real and people are recreating or selling beans/cuts. Hahaha

So now Chem D was around in the early 90s? Weird.

I think the story is Triangle x Paki for the Tampa Crippy. The old FL Triangle before it left for the west coast x heirloom Pakistani

Nope, I’ve seen several references of Chem D 91 x Paki Blue, there’s even writing on a pack of it

Ok that says chem 91 not the D. And I think they got the info wrong from sunshine state. They have always said the cripple came from the triangle.

Bruce says it PREDATES TK in his own description on Strainly, so no and yes I suppose there’s difference from Chem D to Chem 91, although I think the Chem originated from NL2 stock from The Seedbank Of Holland.

They are saying it predates TK now but they used to advertise it as a TK cross to Blue Paki. I guess that story sounds better. I’ve been following those dudes for years and have almost everything they make. The Gainesville green is my fav from them

Interesting! Did it have intersex traits like TC unfortunately shows ?

No because it’s not related GG is an old Panama Red FL heirloom

Chem D was popped in 2001. Definitely take what a listing on Strainly says as fact too. Haha

Some original Florida varieties that were almost forgotten.
The Grape,
The Grape Skunk aka (Grunk).
And Stinky Fruit.
The Grape had the absolute best grape flavor ever. Blows any purp, urkle, grape ape completely out of the water. And no the Grape is not Grape ape like everything on the internet says. The Grape was its own thing. You couldn’t keep the smell in a bag and it had beautifully orange red buds. That Grape was crossed to a California Skunk#1 to create the Grunk. And the Grape was crossed to Northern Lights to make the Stinky Fruit. All three are old school Florida classics. There is some info in the cannabible but it’s second hand and not entirely accurate. The real story is even better than the myths. It involves theft, deception, greed, and hard drugs infiltrating the scene.

Did you ever think to toss a bunch of seeds and pollen in an isolated spot? Could you do that for a few years in an isolated spot, eventually supplanting the hemp genetics with “drug” genetics?

Unfortunately, it works the opposite way. If no human intervention/selection, the cannabis plant would just keep degrading into less and less of the “drug” plant we are looking for.

Got it. Thanks for answering. That’s something I’ve been wondering about.

Here are those photos. There’s some serious wtf going on here but I’m still charmed by these “Florida-Weeds”

Up first the Florida Ditch Weed that’s growing in-ground.

Yep. PRETTY MUCH SINGLE LEAVES ALL THE WAY!. It’s still huge though.

The other Florida Ditch Weed plant, this one in a 20 gallon fabric pot.

By comparison here is one of my Texada Timewarps from @ShitSeeds which was vegged out for MONTHS longer than the FDW and yet this is how it decided to grow after getting outside with all the same treatment with the only difference being this is in a 25 gallon fabric pot…

:man_shrugging: /  / :+1:

Not by far! The Texada Timewarp plants were topped! So I expect EPIC SHRUBBERY from them and that’s what I’m getting. :ok_hand:

The Florida Ditch Weed were not topped so it’s now a game of seeing how tall they get!

BTW, the beans you shared with me are going great. I’ll have a post made soon. Very pleased and I’ll have some seeds to share back once I test them
