Really creeping hard here just caught that bucket purple strap thing you had going on but i wonder if that bucket auto water feed would have worked a bit better if that bucket were elevated on another 5 gallon bucket for a half ass gravity fed drip water feed to keep the water wick flowing maybe some sort of fiber hose for a better wick channel ?Gives me ideas for experimenting for a on 3 day vacation water babysitter.Im assuming the water just wicked to halfway and petered out or plants were just water hogs and that was just an appetizer for them those look very nice

I would, and have, put them in a tray with a few inches of water. Works for pots indoors.
And you’re totally right about the water wicking halfway. A bit of gravity might have worked better but Mrs Foreigner bought me these drippers that hook on to 2L bottles. That worked.
