125F water from the tap, dechlorinated with a tiny bit of a HP, sitting on a warming pad. 24 hours and they’ll be going into peat/coco and into a seedling tray
I haven’t taken a picture of the beans but dropped in hot tap water and resting in paper towel in a ziploc siting atop of the good ole hot water tank. Now gents start thou grows and LETS GET READY TO STUMBLE!!!
Thank you all for pulling up a chair and checking out the fun
@Rhai88 the seeds that I provided for this grow off were Purple Romulan (Hybrid between 2 BC classics, Romulan and Purple Pineberry) from Next Generation Seed company. I’ve had this pack since 2018. Myself and @luxton chatted about what to grow and I offered this up which fit the bill. I like the idea of friendly grow competition as it get us out of our grow bubbles and for me anyways gets me to push my relaxed grow style and improve my skill. What makes this easier is we both live on the western half Canada so exchanging flower is a possibility.
I hope this encourages others too have fun and do the same. We all love this plant and invest so much time, effort and, $$$ towards it so if we can learn further by doing this, I think this is a great opportunity.
@luxton is a great grower and his previous grow journals show it. So the fact that I get to be in a friendly comp with him I feel lucky and making a good friend in the process.
@luxton also we should add to the list with these plants we’re growing 1 plant is restricted in the amount of training as you stated above but the other plant was freestyle and anything goes within the same timeline
@methodanon, I kept an old Gaia green bucket just for this I believe its a 2 gallon should work just fine. And aside from that I was going to get the other beans into my sip Earth box container.
My only worry is I having to leave on vacation November 1 for a week so need to get my automated items in place before I leave.
Not the best timing but just have to roll with whats in place Challenge accepted
