They keep coming back because if you miss one it gives live birth. They are all born pregnant.
I have a hard time getting rid of them with big plants. Clone everything down, get rid of old soil clean the space. Dunk the clones in one and done or safer soap so you get 100 percent coverage

No. That may have been my problem. I want to try the one n done again because I’m sure it works.

Thank you for your help. My plants are rather large and it’s a perpetual so it is a tough fight. I really don’t want to clone down and start over. If the lady bugs don’t knock them out, I will defoliate and spray daily.

I used pyrtherin in the veg room. Haven’t seen a bug since in there. Things are getting better. They was in both rooms.

I use turface as media in the room that is infested. Do you think they are in the turface?

Will the lady bugs eat the fungus gnats too?

I think your just missing a couple spraying. Like I said only 1 needs to survive

I agree. So many nooks and crannies on a big plant.

The google says they do eat fungus gnats.

Yeah but it’ll take 2-3 weeks to see a reduction in pest population with nematodes, and, while ladybugs are incredible predators who love aphids, it’s actually the ladybug larva that is the most effective threat. So maximum efficacy timeline from inoculation of beneficials to pest elimination is about a month in my recent personal experience

Ladybugs are generalist predators. They’ll eat anything smaller than they are… and sometimes bigger.
But take a guess at their favorite food. :bear::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I guess it depends, mine killed everything in the substrate, stem base in about 10-11 days, in fact on the packs from koppert it says to use the other packs every two weeks for maximum efficacy

What happens when there are no more bugs to eat? :bug: :ant: :grimacing:

And that was packs of 5 million

They leave, and or die

Nice! I had visible creepy crawlies in the substrate until yesterday, that went crazy when I wet them down.

Death. Or you can put ladybug nectar in to feed them.
I also put pieces of wet, cut up sponge throughout the tent, so they have water.

Ahhhh…Nature’s Good Guys recommended 1 application of 5 million, and that’s it.
That would probably make a difference

I’m a big fan of nematodes and diatomaceous earth

This was my first nematode application and I’m 100% sold.
Worked like slow magic

They really are great! And they linger, you are right though, cuz they had different sizes. 1 million , 5 million etc. I love how they have all these bugs to kill bugs now, it’s so awesome. I used to use strictly ladybugs, but now there is so much cool stuff, I met the dealer one day at the shop a few years back and was blown away by the selection nowadays. So cool

I would rather use bugs than chemicals.:partying_face::partying_face::wink::sunglasses::peace_symbol:
