I had the radio on one day years back and an ad for a local hydro/grow store came on. It went something like “Get your lights, nutrients, and soils… For your tomatoes!” “We’ve got whatever you need… for your tomatoes!” I thought it was pretty funny and my name on a fishing forum at the time was JustOneMoreCast so I came up with it like that. I first signed up on ICmag and spelling it like “JustSomeTomatoes” would split the name into the line below so “JustSumTomatoes” it was. I hope you enjoyed my personal biography. :slightly_smiling_face:

I was actually buying a ton of soil last year for my garden and the owner asked what I was growing jokingly (knowing darn well what was up) my response was just some tomatoes and we both smirked lol.

Lol. I love it. Its just that normally like in your case its never what you guess.
I remember going into Home Depot looking for a HPS flood light to grow. One of there imployees came right out and asked if it was for growing. So I sized him up to see if he could handle the truth. So the truth I gave him. When I go to get garden supplies, especially at garden supplies stores I get sketched out.
Now I really dont care so much. And I really dont think people care. Especially the garden supply folks. Hell I would bet they are growing too.

The grow store dude here definitely grows himself and is cool, I still never directly say it though. I always park a few a blocks away and pick my stuff up in the back for extra safety. I was buying some supplies from a nursery and I knew the owner from doing flower/horticulture shows and her being the superintendent for them. I saw she was selling all of the Fox Farm line. I casually asked if they were any good (even though I already knew but was curious if she knew the market) and she flat out said that pot growers were her best customers and were some of the most knowledgeable as well. She was telling how there were elderly growers you would never suspect, having no idea I was also a grower lol. Everyone grows and smokes pot, awesome! Overgrow da world

100% I used to pick a few thing up here and a few things there. Not to raise attention. I would try to use other people’s vehicles to pick up anything that might draw to much attention.
I feel alot more comfortable with growing now then I did 15 years ago.

It’s crazy how much it’s changed since it’s gone legal here. Everyone is talking about their harvests, showing pics, or looking at seeds and genetics on the stores computer :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:. Yesterday, I went to the address of cannabis seed bank of Maine, I pulled up to a grow shop with a different name on the sign. I walked in, asked the guy behind the counter if I was in the right place for clones. He said go through the back and meet the guy upstairs.
Like waking into a freaking candy store! You know how you’ll see shelves of tomato seedlings for sale, thy had a small room with like 8 of these racks. This is from their website, I didn’t tak any pics myself while I was there :sweat_smile:

They were honestly priced, and at a point that if they were closer, I’d just buy clones or teens instead of keeping a mother myself. Their “teens” are already 24-30” tall, for $40! Clones were also way bigger than I expected, and at $20. Both are buy 12 get one free. It’s just awesome.

 Wow! I would just totally bug out if I walked into a store and saw MJ plants for sale. I honestly haven’t seen another person’s plant(s) for at least 12 years and no one has ever seen mine (and known they were mine anyways.) Not counting all of you in the VIP club lol.

That would be so cool though, for real. I would just nerd out at the shop and talk their damn ears off. :joy: I wonder if they’d be open to recieving any clones or trades. I’ve recently gotten into tissue culure, which could open up many potential doors with clones and storing them. Man, prohibition sucks. :frowning: I really need to visit a green state, at least for a few days when this Covid stuff ends.

@corey Sorry for getting what was only supposed to be a brief thread off track.

I think I would seriously freeze up! I’m really terrified of the day I actually go for my dream job. Hell I would sweep trim up off the floors all day if that was a job. I think I could possibly bomb it.

I think I might have instigated it. Sorry @corey
