Looks like the party started!:green_heart:

5 broke ground if I include this one

Hopefully the rest will follow. 9 cracked and planted. One is in the paper towel still but I don’t have much faith it will germinate. I will keep them in the container until tomorrow evening before transplanting into the 1.75 gallon pots.

Well I awoke to two more lovely’s early Thursday morning.

I figured I better stay ahead of the curve and pot these pups. So I grabbed my bin of starter mix and began.

Starting with 10 gallons of: 50% peat 30% pumice 20% Colorado WC

Adding to it roughly 3-5 tbl spoons of Gypsum, Kelp and Insect Frass. I eye balled it tbh. I inoculated it with Rootwise about a week ago and it’s looking like money so I’m rolling with it.

To begin I filled my pots up roughly half way with my mix and added 2-3 inches of Colorado WC on top.

Taking a seedling in plug and adjusting WC level based on height of seedling worked well.

If enough wasn’t enough, I took my Dynomyco and crumpled/sprinkled it all over the outer paper wall and in the bed where it resides, along with the Rootwise added to its bed and not on the plug itself.

Finally I encased the roots in more WC all the way up to the top of the plug. Filling in the remainder of the container with my original mix.

Here we finally have them watered and in the tent.:green_heart::seedling:

Full disclosure: The first one I did I managed to damage. Moving the pumice around the tender stem knocked it 90 degrees sideways. I gently propped it back up with castings and hoping for the best!

I hope you all have a wonderful day/night! :green_heart:

Update

The babies are enjoying the new home. Warm temps, strong light and high humidity. The first photo you can see the one I fudged up. Propped it up on pumice and covered the stem again with soil. I hope it heals up! Strong little one for sure, I thought it would be gone by this afternoon but I was wrong.:crossed_fingers:

I did manage to see life from the last seed. It’s slightly cracked with the faintest root tip emerging. Hard to tell from the photo angle but I don’t want to disturb it at all. :crossed_fingers:

Still awaiting take off on the other two planted… I should have probably roughed up the outer shell a bit before germinating but not bad for older stock!

Updated Sat. March 9th

I do believe I have successfully taken the life of one by way of carelessness, the first one I damaged is looking frail. :pensive:

Bringing down the light to about 20in above container. Hoping they enjoy the boost. :sun_with_face:

Should I open pollinate?

Open up the gene pool!

Good work man! Keep those babies happy. I bet that first one will pop right back once it get it’s feet grounded. :crossed_fingers:

@Rhino_buddy thank you brother for stopping in! I will be doing an open pollination for sure. Unfortunately the first one didn’t pull through and three have yet to pop ground so it’s looking like 6 made it as of this posting. 6 likely wont get me where I’m going this round so open pollinating only makes sense right!? Maybe a few other would like to run a few as well!?🤷

Update March 11

The environment is dialed in well, I think I may have figured out my sweet spots for now. I did turn on my UVA bars from AC Infinity, hoping to add more blue to the mix.
I will likely, lightly water this evening! :v:

OP seems like the way, especially with a few. Sorry the one failed. Probably for the better. :person_shrugging:

Update
Hola once again, just wanted to pop in and drop an update for you.

Looks like we have a mutation or two. I am interested in seeing what comes of it. :man_health_worker:

I am making a small batch of compost tea for the first real watering. I will follow with a foiler before lights out tomorrow evening. Tea is simple for now.

3 Gallons of filtered water
1 cup of Oly Mountain
3 Tbl Spoons of kelp
3 Tbl Spoons of Alfalfa

I will likely add a small amount of compost to the top layer before watering.:green_heart:

Have a wonderful hump day all!

Update 3/17/24

I hope everyone had a great week and awesome weekend!

Just thought I would give a small update on the progress! I think I may have used too strong of castings to begin with but all is well, they just keep growing.

Looks like the runts are staring to take shape. Newer leaves look to be healthier. I did have my UV bars on 15minute, off 45 minutes. I turned them off for now though, as it seems to be a bit much for the little ones.

New batch of soil underway for the final containers they will live in. I presume they will be much happier afterwards!

Have a great day all, enjoy! Happy St. Patty’s :green_heart:

Update 3/20/24

All is well, I topped the best two yesterday and already notice growth to lower branches. These have really tight internodes so I brought the light up higher to promote growth. PH of source water use to be a bit lower but seems to be too high for some reason so I am mitigating that issue now.

Final batch for the pups to live in is cooking up.
Transplanting in 5gal fabric pots will take place when the soil is finished. Cover crops have been added to the 1.75 gallon pots along with another layer of compost to mix in the top layer.

Getting clones off of these may take a while without good training so I’m trying to start early, fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers:
:pray::green_heart:

BTW if anyone has experience with sex testing PM me I have a few questions!

Welcome back to this Easter evening show! I want to begin the show with what not to do!

My goal was to get them a little healthier before transplant into the 5 gal fabric pots, I culled the smallest one and thought a foliar may help perk the others up… So I recently purchased the little 1/2 gallon Chapin sprayer and for some reason in my head I thought it was a 1 gal… I mixed in 2oz of my fish hydrolysate thinking it was half recommended dose 🤷 for what I was thinking was a gallon sprayer…:flushed:
As I was placing the cap on the bottle to mix, the final tightening of the sprayer then revealed a 2L line. It was at this moment I knew I f’d up. But then I look at the bottle and read.
If used in recommended doses you can not over feed, will not burn.

Well of course I knew better than to take the bottles word, but instead of just giving correct ph water like I shoulda, I thought I would try to help the situation if it says it can’t burn. Dumb idea.

Always double check the basics first right!? My source water a couple years back is vastly different to today’s. I use to source at 6.2 6.3 now it’s in the high 7 low 8s even. So even after discovering I had this issue I thought, instead of correcting this to better the health first,I would give it a small dose of food…. 🥲 When it had everything it needed already it was just locked out due to source water ph… The biology was not started in the containers so adjusting pH needed to be done at this stage… Here are some of the results…🫣

Next morning I checked on them and saw I made a poor decision indeed. I was unable to flush at that time and returned some 12 hours later… All day at work I knew I had limited time so I rushed to get them flushed asap.

I thought all was lost but I managed to actually save them. All basically burned up and came close to loosing them but I nursed with filtered phd water and all but one has bounced back fully.

The one I’m still nursing back to health.

I see some new growth actually so I’m gonna just let it do its thing. I will take clones of all 5 once ready and able. I’m sure I will be able to distinguish sex by then.:metal::green_heart:

I did not want to transplant these into new pots until re established so I have a batch of soil on stand by.

All in all, it’s still on. Just an unwanted hiccup. Next update will be nice and healthy pups! 🫶

Here’s a few shots of the little ones. Coming along nicely. First real watering with Rootwise done tonight since flushing. Will be transplanting this coming week into 5gal fabric pots. #3 smells super funky!! :seedling:

Here’s some from a few days ago.

I do still hold hope for this one, poor thing has come a long way back! Almost tissue culture

Sunday April 14 Update

Good Sunday folks! I was finally able to get these transplanted and in good timing too based on the root structure. I may have to train these a bit aggressively to promote branching. All were watered in and a fresh thin layer of straw was added along with 1-2 cups of newer soil at the base of plant stalk. Finishing up with a nice foliar cleaning. Nothing special just filtered water lowered to a ph of 6.5

Before transplant

After transplant

Things coming along well, no signs of sex just yet. The nose on 3 is :skunk: as soon as I open the tent, the others have none yet still. Till next time have a great evening all and stay tuned!:green_heart:

Happy belated 420 everyone! I hope all had a fantastic and eventful holiday! :green_heart:

update 04/21/24

Things are finally looking up for the little ones, they seem to be happier. This is a before their hair cuts and a foliar of epsom. Mulch layer watered in a bit to keep everyone happy. No signs of sex still. I wanted them to take to their new home before I added any training stresses so that will happen this week.

Here they are individually.

Here they are after a nice foliar bath and soil drench.

I purchased several 9in Blumat carrots and drip rings so I’m waiting for those to arrive. I did not go with the 5 gallon bucket they offer. I will build my own res so I can hold a larger volume of water. Likely 20-30 gallons would be beneficial. More to come shortly.

Have a wonderful week ahead all!:green_heart:

@jesuswearsflares Thanks for the kind blessing! They have made quite the comeback and are starting to green back up.

You are not the first to mention their mango. I would keep looking in that direction as I hear that mango is highly sought out!

Hi, I Joined Overgrow after spotting this thread in a search relating to Cyber Crystal.
Cyber seeds are still easily available along with a more recent feminised version but there’s not much info about that so I stuck with the original type. I’ve enjoyed reading this but it hasn’t gone how I expected.
I became interested in the strain from a high times article, it won a prize in the High Times cannabis cup over twenty years ago and its strength was much talked about but not surprising seeing as it’s mostly Afghani.
It was described as like being hit over the head with a length of 3x2!
I’ve had issues with germination however but they are so cheap I had ten packs to use.
Anyway I was expecting you would have had more success in the early stages considering most of your seeds germinated, as I’ve found Cyber Crystal to be one of the fastest strains I’ve seen, for example one I had growing some three weeks behind some skunk and purple punch plants caught up then exceeded them in growth very quickly it was amazing it was so vigorous, in a simple supermarket soil too.
I have a good feeling about my new batch, the first to show is an inch high today yesterday it hadn’t even broke ground.
I feel aside from warmth this strain can do everything for you with enough light and water.
I don’t want to offer advice when it isn’t asked for but I think you’re obsessing over tech and chemicals and neglecting the fundamentals, like watering them.
Literally none of the tech has helped in any way here as the results show.
You can only find your ideal Mother when you are growing to the peak of potential, also remember KC Brains did all that for you already that’s what we pay for! Do you think you can do better? None of the plants were runts, just seriously retarded from germination on through grower error at every step.
You already had the seeds to potentially make every female amazing, the only limit here is yourself.
The results so far mitigate this.
Peroxide for example may be useful for sick roots but that sickness is due to the grower anyway, in germination or even in a hydro system reservoir, it doesnt provide anything useful to healthy roots, not even properly usable oxygen in hydro which is where the myth arose in the first place.
I’ve never used a humidifier in three decades better to fix your environment properly in the first place.
It’s a shame the state of them, they appear to be in hell through no fault of their own every issue present in a grow room is down to the grower, usually by interference and adjustment. If you buy decent soil why then assume you can improve it by adding 20 things you know nothing about and ruin what might have been a laboratory formulated nutrient balance? you put them in this bone dry desert room and expect them to thrive.
Your grow is basically a desert.
The Cyber battles on bravely and then has the stress of you topping it and the light is too far away.

My current cyber grow is the polar opposite of yours, not saying it wouldn’t be nice to spend on it but I’m on a shoestring and have a 600w hps, no electric climate control r.e humidifiers etc to speak of beyond a 2 in 1 thermometer and humidity meter, my cf and ph meter are as far as electronics goes here, I have several hydro options available but these cyber crystals are for clones and started in soil, the clones will root in rock wool cubes.
Along with the Cyber I have one single feminised Mimosa, a few days older than the Cyber.
I can guarantee one thing, the plants here would be thriving simply sat in a saucer of water on a window ledge or a tray of water under a decent light.
Good luck
